Sucks that my driver Keselowski didn't win the Brickyard, but congratulations to Kasey Kahne on finally winning his first race in three years. He certainly deserved the "kiss the bricks."

They should have kept going to see just how many restarts they could go with a crash. Last car rolling wins.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. joining NBC in 2018

Earnhardt will be utilized in a number of capacities on NBC's NASCAR coverage, with specifics to be announced in the coming months. In addition, the agreement with NBCUniversal allows Earnhardt a wide range of opportunities in the company's media businesses, including movies, television, podcasts, and other areas.

Looks as though he has found a life outside of racing. Maybe Amy has had a little to do with that as well.

Dale is securing a future, which is genius. NBC is also investing in Jr's media businesses Dirty Mo Media and Hammerhead Entertainment.

The Brickyard is by far my least favorite track on the schedule.

Indy doesn't come to Daytona, maybe NASCAR should stay out of their holy land.

Maybe one day NASCAR will realize that fans prefer short tracks to big tracks that aren't super speedways.

I suppose it's a good thing to deal with all of the silly season stuff before the Chase ( :puke: )begins.

Target leaving NASCAR

thats pretty huge loss, IMO I know sponsors in this day and age come and go. But to lose such a recognizable brand is not a good sign. Especially considering Larson is arguably the best young driver today, and probably 2nd to Truex this season in regards to just how well hes run over course of season. They couldn't even keep them for a few races next year, gone altogether

Ive said this before, ill say it again. IMO this sport might look completely different in say....10 years. I dont think the Truck series will exist, for one Second, its just my belief that this sport will need to seriously consider returning to this roots in order to regain some popularity

The ole, build them bigger and they will come era from 1995-2015 is pretty much done

The writing was on the wall when Target left Indycar last year after a 20+ years relationship with Ganassi.
Strong rumor that Amazon will be the replacement, which is huge, IMO. I think it will attract other web based businesses to NASCAR, and it wouldn't surprise me to see Walmart have a large presence, since they seem to be Amazon's biggest competitor these days.

Blaney to Penske #12

Menard to Wood Brothers #21

And that pretty well guarantees Ty Dillon will be in the 27 next season.

And with RCR alliance, maybe Daniel Hemric to the 13?

I know he drives for JR Motorsports, but does anyone see William Byron moving over to the big leagues next year? I also like that Blaney will be with Penske next year. He will be able to actually complete and win more often than with the Wood Bros.

Actually RCR laid off a bunch of people 2 weeks ago, which is about when the Menard was leaving news broke. The strong rumor is that they will only be a 2 car team next year with Austin Dillon and Newman.

I don't, IMO. If they didn't move Chase up the year he won the championship, I don't think they will move Byron up either.
