DSP did more than Matteau ever did. I'm ok with this... he had his chance last season to show it wasn't a fluke...

Also, these moves didn't need to be made, we could have easily sucked it up with these contracts on the books, are we preparing for something? Why free up cap space when we already have cap space?

yeah i'm really confused with this.

they really didn't have a problem with the cap so why shed even more salary? make a bigger move? or just giving more ice time and roster spots to kid and go into this season with a super young hungry lineup?

they both sucked anyway so i'm fine without them being here anymore

I'm wondering if we take on contracts for picks? I would hope not and this space will be used for actual on ice talent.

I assume its for the younger players to come in and play.

Camm was awful and setback in my harsh opinion.

DSP got lost out there more so than acceptable.

Time to bring in some players who deserve the ice time i originally thought.

It's not so much about cap but about roster space and playing time IMO.

Happy with moves today. I know I voted no on that poll to sign Shattenkirk but starting to warm up to the idea.
He addresses serious needs on this team if he can play at the level he should be playing at. Of course he will be overpaid, but think Shero pulls trigger to make him a crazy offer. Question is does he want to play in NJ?

Money/close to home is tough to pass up. If he was hell-bent on getting a cup Tampa Bay seems like as good a bet as anyone when healthy and he turned them down.
