Nico not that small. He is listed at 6'2". He just turned 18 this year and will put on more weight. Watching him play in the world juniors, I didnt think he would be that tall.

i'd be amazed if kovy wants to play for torts? i mean i know they had a great year last year but honestly a lot of that was because of the 16 game win streak. you want to compete for a cup i get it but do you really see columbus as cup contenders? the division is beyond stacked and only getting better. why not try some place out west? nashville would be ideal they can use goal scoring but i doubt they would want to give up a piece on defense to get him.

I don't know if we can land Alzner or Shattenkirk or if in the long run it will be worth it to land one but looking at our D, unless someone can step up big we desperately need another top 4 guy. Maybe one of Santini, Severson or Mueller can take a big step forward.

Prout is probably a 7th guy, Lovejoy is a bottom pairing player, Moore puts up some numbers but he's not top pair material. Greene really should be on the 2nd pairing but will become our defacto number 1. I like this defense a lot better if we can add a surefire top 4 guy.

Bump everyone down one and I think it looks significantly better. It's possible we could sign or get something back in a Kovy trade. Fingers crossed.

Eh, it was worth a gamble. 3rd probably doesn't amount to anything and Bennett was worth taking a flyer on.

idk.... i think i would've rather had the 3rd even before Bennett played his first game with us.... the guy already had flags about him beforehand.

I'm worried the Kovy situation will be a dud, like he'll sign a one year deal in Russia.

There's a bunch of teams that could really use him, just a matter of whether or not he'd sign there. Still think Anaheim would be a great fit. Scoring line winger would put them over the top. Nashville losing Neal and potentially Fisher could also use a top 6 guy.

outside of the kovy situation i really dont see ray making any other moves this summer. he is going to probably just let the season play out let the kids take their lumps and get better and then really try to hit the ground running next year.

You really think they are going to be nonexistent again this season Cup? I know the defense is a mess, but with the potential offense we can muster, you dont think its enought to possibly do something?
