Cammalleri missed a bunch of time early last year, I believe his daughter had a bad battle with pneumonia and he never seemed to get it going once he got back (nobody on the Devils did). Change of scenery and off ice bs out of the way I could see a rebound year.

I wish Squidy nothing but the best, he played great when he was a member of the Flames and more importantly, I hope he and his family (daughter especially) are doing fine these days. I'd rather see a young guy get the opportunity to step up and make the team though.

If you include the Clowe cap cushion I believe the Devils have over $30 million to spend now. Curious if this was preparation for multiple moves.
