I don't have time for in depth....i'll make this short and sweet

Barnett - C+ I see him as a 7-8 sack guy. Hopefully he proves me wrong
Sidney Jones - A+ - this was a risky move, but I like the risk, best CB in the draft
Rasul Douglas - B - I like the pick, solid player
Mack Hollins - A+ A mike Evans type WR, absolutely love this pick!
Donell Pumphrey - F absolutely the worst pick they made. I don't get this selection even a little bit.
Jamaal Williams and Marlon Mack were both available and we passed to draft a twenty pound lighter Warrick Dunn? Huge mistake.
Shelton Gibson -B Poor mans Djax....decent pick

I''l grade the 5 rds as a B-

Didn't get this pick either. Will we ever be able to convert third and short with any type of consistency? I absolutely hated Washington getting Perine!

The Eagles apparently signed Tyler Orlosky, the WVU center. I like that a lot. I am surprised he didn't get drafted as he seems like a pretty good prospect. He is the anti Kelce--not great movement skills but solid anchor. He like Kelce is also said to be smart and was a team captain.

So basically we brought in three Mountaineers--Rasul Douglas, Shelton Gibson, Tyler Orlosky.

No matter how Doug and Howie spin it, it sure looks like Kelce's days in Philly are numbered.

I think with Pumphrey the thinking is that the Eagles are looking for more explosive plays from the RB spot as a runner "and" receiver (especially behind what should be a good blocking Line). If the Eagles keep Ryan Mathews (which is looking more likely) then they probably figured that Pumphrey gave us more in a complimentary role than the remaining guys on the board. We also have Wendell Smallwood whom again, the Eagles may be higher on than the more traditional guys left on the board when they took Pumphrey. Mathews would serve as the short yardage guy in the rotational role.

I think Smallwood is nothing special, but he will certainly get his shot to become the lead back.

I don't know these players that well, but I've looked at a lot of draft reviews and not a single one has said this wasn't a good draft for the Eagles.

Not that they really know. I remember the buzz over the Agholor pick.

It's all mental with him. I think the slow start in year 1 and his pre-season issues last year had him over thinking it.

He has the tools. Hopefully, he pulls it together.

FYI -- Not sure it was mentioned but Hollins worked out with Wentz in California and have the same agent and so Hollins.

This draft reminds me a lot of last year minus the Wentz trade, that is to say there were a number of outside the box picks. As if they were trying to find rocks to find a gem under. Howie's fingerprints on this.

Are you from Sioux Falls? I have lived there and have family there. Grew up in SoDak. He was a stud in High School. State high school 100m and 200m champ so he has some speed. Not sure what his 40 time was though.

I like the pick. Dude is a missile and not afraid to hit and has some attitude to. This team hasn't had attitude on D since Dawk left.

I'm really happy with this draft overall. I wanted OJ Howard at #14, but I understand positional value and Barnett is a damn good prospect in his own right. Graham and Barnett, Cox and Jernigan -- with the depth and players we have behind that as well, that should be pretty damn nasty. Sidney Jones is a steal, achilles is a not a good injury, but with modern medicine and highly educated trainers, nutritionist, therapist, sports science, more players are recovering from injuries more effectively, and much sooner. He's apparently ahead of schedule already so that's a great sign. Going back to back corners with a prospect like Rasul was awesome to see as well.

Mack in the 4th could pay off big -- his play reminds me of Tyrell Williams of SD last year. Ton of upside if he can stay healthy, his size/weight/speed is sick. Gibson in the 5th was really nice too. He should replace Torrey Smith next year as our vertical threat specialist, and with a higher upside to an overall game. Wentz will love airing it out to Gibosn, that kid knows how to track the ball while maintaining 100mph, it's really impressive. His underneath game needs work, but to get a real nice role player in the 5th is what I'd be looking for as well.

I'm juiced about Pumphrey!!! That dude is freakin electric, and probably the toughest 176lber I've seen. No he's not a 3 down back, but he's that utility player that can play a huge role on your team *cough* Darren Sproles. Great mentality and teammate like Sproles as well. These type of players are so underrated, this was a great pick. We will still need to draft a back next year to play a bigger role as a pure runner. We still needed a player like Pumphrey to give us value like Sproles has. This is a Doug Pederson type of player for his offense, and he'll likely use him in many different roles to best utilize his skill-set. We'll run with Matthews, Wendell, Sproles and the rest of the crew. More of a committee for now.

Overall I think we're doing a really good job building for the future, while still playing very competitive ball. This team is going to be really fun to watch.

Both Hollins and Gibson are electric on deep balls and track it really well. There's speed guys out there who are track fast, but don't know how to set up defenders to blow by them or adjust to the ball in the air to make that "over the shoulder" catch. Hollins is more advanced than Gibson on the underneath routes and uses his catch radius to work underneath ... Gibson in that regard is more of a screen guy and YAC guy when not going deep, so he needs more intermediate route running work than Hollins does. I think this actually puts Torrey Smith on the hot seat as he was brought here to stretch the field which is what the two rookies do well. Smith is only "guaranteed" $500,000.00 this year if he doesn't make the team ... so he can not rest on his laurels and has to earn a starting spot.

I'm from Pierre. Not a lot of South Dakotans make the NFL (other than Vikings and Vinatieri).

Maybe Eagles should hire Chip Kelly to handle this

Oh, contraire(sp?)! I think it's Joe Douglas'. Howie would have made all kinds of trades - going for the gold ring. Joe wants to proceed with solid if unspectacular players.

So, even though I knew about Donnel Pumphrey, I had not watched much film or concentrated much on him prior to hearing his name called as our pick. So I started watching anything I could find on him today and find this kid to be electric and he plays with more pop than I expected. His quickness, vision and cutting ability on a dime are insane. Now, of course this is obviously not a Back you want to give 20 carries to at the pro level because even if he gains 6-8 lbs he's still not going to punish a D ... but after watching him I would certainly be ok with giving him 10-12 carries and think there is a good chance of him breaking a couple for big yards. He is not a guy who dances much, even when he's cutting he maintains his speed going forward. Below is a link where he broke Marshal Faulk's record against Cal ... very impressive arsenal.

How do you think Kelce's days are numbered when the top threat to him we brought in was an UDFA??

I want to believe you. I need to believe that the coaching staff is not this clueless about our OL when it comes to protecting Wentz. But I don't see the end of Kelce the way you do. In fact, at this point, I fully expect for you to see Kelce as the starting C yet another year. I hope, I pray, I'm wrong.
