You never answered iffy. What Indians have to do to win it all?? After last year's choke job...fire tito???? Rebuild starting pitching??? I know you wont answer because you got ohio balls in your mouth

Doug....all you can come up with is "balls" remarks and 'sucking" put downs? Weak sauce.
But all your remarks are totally lame. Why would Cleveland fire Francona now? What the he// are you talking about? Drugs.......

Did I ask to be "Michigan material"? What does that even mean? I live in AZ. I went to EMU. You are mentally challenged, huh?

Matt Boyd. 8.2 no hit innings. Double by Tim Anderson gets him.

Kluber another amazing outing.

I gotta think he has an edge in the Cy Young race now.

Corey Kluber: 17-4, 2.35 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, 252 k's in 191.2 innings, 11.83 k's per nine

Chris Sale: 16-7, 2.86 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 287 k's in 201.1 innings, 12.83 k's per nine

It can still go either way, but I gotta think Kluber has the edge right now.

According to ESPN Sale has a WAR of 5.7, while Kluber has a WAR of 7.8 (why does that not seem right to me?)

Those lines say Kluber wins to me. I also am personally hoping for that since Sale is a bozo.

Cleveland has to be considered the favorite - best manager in MLB. I like what Detroit has done with the bullpen ... they have signed about 1,000 arms to minor league contracts (maybe some will pan out). I don't trust the Royals. The White Sox have made some quality moves for the future. The Twins have nothing to lose which could be dangerous. It could be a fun season.

Let's win a World Series for Mr. I. He deserved one!!!

I've seen worse ... our division is a no brainer:

Cleveland is an easy favorite, best team and best manager. That does not make them a lock, and the Tigers have the 2nd best team. If there was any team I would count out it would be Minnesota, but Minnesota has surprised me in the past.

A couple more days and things will become clearer.

A couple of quotes from February and March with predictions. Cleveland was easy, everyone in the universe agreed with that. Minnesota, however; what a surprise team. Tigers, I was way too optimistic about them (I will be next year too). A lot of people we predicting 100+ loses for Minnesota, and Minnesota gave them a big shit burger to eat. It gives me hope for the Tigers in 2018.

They still have a couple starts or so left, but right now, I think Kluber has the edge. What was holding him back was the difference in IP, which is now less than 10. Kluber has a significantly lower ERA. Sale has more Ks, but he's shitting the bed down the stretch, while Kluber is pouring it on.

Justin Verlander will get some sympathy votes. He is pitching very well....considering JV is carrying Kluber's jock.

Ha!

Yeah, since Kluber locked down his starting gig in 2013, there's really not much comparison between him and Verlander. Verlander's the one carry jock these days.

With the play offs coming up and the division won, should the back off the gas some.

For example, still start Kluber on his normal starts, but maybe cap him at 50 pitches or pull him after the 5th? Or since is destroying every team he faces, do you not mess with him and just let him do his thing?

When it comes to that shit, I'll sum my feelings up with a pic:

Sale is a putz and shouldn't be in the conversation.

Now this is odd....
I looked at the AL West Discussion forum, and I don't see any posts from @dougplayer!!! Nothing on the totally barren Astros team forum either. Since doug has adopted the Astros, with Verlander, as his new team....I thought he might be there running some BS.
But...for reasons unknown, he still has a Tiger logo on his avatar as a favorite team. Doug is a frontrunner, so no way he can support the Tigers for the next couple of years.
