Anyone know who else was at Big Red Weekend?

From the pictures I saw, it looked like it was mostly big, white, farm boys that can plow the fields for the offensive skill players.

And Tommy Armstrong's younger brother, TRAI

Ben Stille Twitter, Ben Stille is very, very chiseled. Going to be an Academic All American for sure.

Look at the size of his head compared to Riley's head.

I've never seen anything quite like Ben Stille's highlights. The kicking at the end was a twist.

4-star Safety Marquel Dismuke just committed to Nebraska... Quayshon Alexander might not be far behind. Ball is starting to roll in the right direction.

I hope Nebraska can still get Texas high school players to go with this new California pipeline. Not like California has not been good to Nebraska, John Stanton and Terrell Newby come to mind.

Maybe Riley and Co. can find another Suh like player, like that other coach who came from the West Coast back in 2004.

Suh only comes along once every few decades or so in College Football.

We will never again see another one at Nebraska. The one time we got him we weren't good enough on Offense to make anything out of it.

I just think people need to quit saying, "here comes the next Suh" every time we bring in a huge DL recruit.

He was a rare piece of art that you won't see again.

Yet, how many posts do you have in the 10,000 posts for a championship threads? I have never posted in them, yet, people still do.

You all get caught up in 3,4 & 5 star ratings, but as most know, usually those mean shit in more cases than not.

Actually (more often than not) they do mean a lot. Brasky has showed a clear correlation.

However, they won't have success solely on their own. They need to be developed and lined up properly.

Except for the fact that the teams that have recruited best based on those "don't mean shit" stars have in general done much better than those that haven't ranked as well. There are outliers both ways, but the trend is there. A star rating does not guarantee an individual player's success, however it does give a pretty accurate projection of how teams are going to be in the future.

Yes, they need the team aspect. I'm just saying that there are 3 stars that finish career like they were 4 or 5 stars and there are 4-5 stars that leave you thinking they are not. It does depend on the talent and coaches around them as the progress through the years, I will agree on that. Good example is TX in past few years, tons of 4-5 stars but the team aspect and I think more so, coaching was borderline??

Remember that part in my post where I talked about outliers? You guessed one of them. The point is IN GENERAL the teams with higher ranked kids do better. How do you get a team of higher ranked kids? You recruit them, one at a time. That is why some people get excited when we get a commitment from a 4 star kid.
