Lantrip should be benched for the RS Freshman, give him the on field experiance and not the Senior. Lantrip is a slow runner, makes bad reads on the option, and stares down his recievers. If he stays in the whole year, We'll be lucky to get over .500

hmm possibly, your worst case scenario is losing the next 5 games before beating New Mexico State, Lousiana Tech and Idaho.

So Fajardo came in for Lantrip and Nevada is up 28-21 on Tech at the end of the 3rd...He runs the option read really well, looks like Kap a bit...

Lantrip didn't play poorly, but he led a FG drive in the 4th quarter when they were up 3. A TD would've put the game away, but instead TTU drove down and beat us by 1. I question Ault's decision to bring Lantrip back in at that point. Fajardo came in durring the 3rd drive and led scoring drives on 4 of 5 of the drives he played (3TD, 1FG). Lantrip only led scoring drives on 2 of 5 of the drives he played (1TD, 1FG) With 9:39 to go in the 4th, why didn't Ault keep the more running threat in Fajardo in the game, not to mention he was leading better drives. Ault says both will play this week vs Boise, but Fajardo should play, the whole game.

you never know, this last week we started doing the same thing that costed us the game last year

I'm hoping we can develop a running game and our defense learns to tackle better those have been major issues for us.

yeah that's what has me feeling good about this one

we need to keep the team aggressive for a longer time though this time, last time we got conservative and the score was 24-3.

I can't believe Ault let Lantrip continue to play. I understand Fajardo was out with an injury, but Lantrip couldn't do anything at all. Magleby was able to out produce Lantrip on 4 passes.

even though Magleby did play at the end of the game. Still he's likely better.

It's just frustrating to see Ault put him out there series after series and get 3-and-out after 3-and-out. Don't know how long it'll be until Fajardo is back, but we will lose every game that Lantrip plays more than the majority of the snaps.

got to disagree, sir your next two games are UNLV and New Mexico both teams suck badly and have lost to FCS schools

but yeah it's a bit frustrating to see the same QB out there snap after snap and just see him struggle over an over

a lot of coaches are stubborn this year

UNLV is a rivalry game so UNLV will play to the max of their abilities, and the Lobos...yeah you're probably right
