So, I went to the game 11 years ago.
Don't remember much besides Kent State running and passing up and down the field and the RedHawks setting a Miami record for turnovers in a half or something like that. Crappy weather too. Fast forward to the other night, and I was watching a Kent State @ Akron basketball game (for a minute); they mentioned notable Kent Alums - including Julian Edelman - who they stated played QB @ Kent State!
So, I wondered if he played QB - when I went to that Golden Flashes @ RedHawks game in 2008. Sure enough, he did! Looked it up in the boxscore and turns out Edelman had 158 yards rushing and one touchdown and was also 10-of-17 passing for 107 yards and one touchdown for a cool 265 and two TDs on the day! Not bad for a future Super Bowl MVP! That's my Flash Edelman story boys and girls!
