Maybe he has finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel and realize that he still can be effective with defending when his point total goes on dry spells.
Also I think he is a bit jealous that Parise is the better player because he is an all arounder.

i personally have thought kovy had the right mentallity from his first day here, through all the offseason crap and everything, i do believe his first priority is to play for a winner.

backchecking didn't exist, here, even under mac, it was at least there at half speed, and i really think he actually loves playing for lemaire, he even said last year he's the best coach he's ever played for. he embraces the mentallity of TEAM first, as much as many think he doesn't.


they were even talking the other night that despite chere saying it was lemaires decision, kovy actually approached him about going on the pk

He definitely went half speed at times under Mac, but the problem is half speed doesnt cut it here. Now that Lermarie is back hes playing it a little harder, and thats what he should be doing if he truly wants to be a great player instead of just a great scorer.

the 27 games last year, i thought he played great overall. at least far better than his reputation (defensively) said.

but the oh its everyone but kovy's fault (sarcasm) stigma, that i don't understand. esp when its team all the time.
