Good to see the team winning especially after how shitty they were for the first 2 months of the season. As I said before the season I didn't think this team would make the playoffs but I did think they would be competitive. For the first two months they were not, but it appears I did write them off too soon. I definitely did not expect them to turn things around so quickly just in terms of being competitive, let alone winning.

Mariners are 13-2 since the brawl with the Angels. Not going to say that might've fired the team up, but I think it did.

I've never liked Scott Servais, but maybe this is the time I start giving him some credit.

Oh, and Jrod was added to the HR derby
oh, and he's only the 5th player to get 90 hits and 20 stolen bases in their rookie season before the AS break. The first Mariner since Ichiro.

After the home series against the Angels in mid June, I thought we were done.

@NWinAZ if this isn't enough to bring you back, idk what is.

He did OK with all the moves today which is tricky on a double header.

Still I have seen him either make bad decisions, or worse, no nothing when a pitcher was in trouble WAY TO MANY TIMES.

I mean if the team went on a historic level winning streak after I left a board there's no way I'd come back until the streak was over lol. No chance I'd jinx it. :-D

Season 8 Wow GIF by The Office

I hate for him that he has to keep hearing about the griff references, but it is quite amazing what we are seeing right now.

Shit, now I gotta redo my pfp...

Seriously, though, I'm glad they finally got themselves a winning formula. While consistency is certainly hard to come by, especially with most of the teams in the league and any other sport, I am impressed with what they're doing right now. Don't know if it took that plummet in May or the Angels brawl to get the point across (both??), but they needed a wake-up call if they wanted to prove last year wasn't a fluke.......and they quite possibly found one?

Still plenty of season left, but for now, even I'm impressed.

Yeah I am still on board with this team simply because baseball is just like the stock market you can start slow and catch fire later in the season but can easily go on a losing streak. I am impressed that we are winning without some of our best players in the lineup I was worried that when Mitch Haniger went down we were going to struggle. Thank god we have Julio providing energy to the lineup and Suarez has been terrific this season. Hopefully we can get Lewis and Haniger back after the all star break and maybe Kelenic can turn things around he is performing well in AAA.

I'm back. I said back in May that I'd be back if they got back to .500, but I haven't been watching any games because I didn't want to jinx the winning streak that I saw accumulating, lol.

I still think it's a little weird to be this exuberant as a fanbase for getting into possible contention for the 3rd wildcard, but hey, it's all we've got, right?

Oh, I think we all know too well how quickly things can go south again lol.

Just nice to have even a short stretch of good baseball to watch. It's something.

I'm with a lot of others as far as getting overly excited. Been burned way too many times but I am carefully letting myself to be causiously optimistic. I get a kick out of kids up to the age in their 20's. They are totally out of contol stoked, Good for them, they haven't been through the last 20 seasons and the days Lou, Jr.,Edgar, the Bone, Randy and so many other "winners", including Dave Neihaus :thumb: Maybe for some, it's time to pass the torch? :noidea: :suds:

Live in the moment people. It doesn't have to have more meaning other than right now it's fun.

Having said that, I'd bet the streak ends tonight. Just feels like we are due.

Called that one. Always feels like it will be Marco that kills a streak.

Yeah, Gonzales saw to that tonight. I guess he just doesn't WANT to succeed.

Soto is for sale, what is the price the M’s should give up without having an extension signed. Not saying it can happen but a player like Soto’s caliber has been Jerry’s wet dream with how many prospects he has plus budget space.
