We will see when the tourney comes around. Being number in top 5 this yr doesnt mean much. A team outside the top 25 could win it all this yr.

Gonzaga is 6-1 against top 50 BPI teams. Only Miami (7-1) has a better win percentage against top 50 BPI teams.

This year they beat Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Oklahoma, Clemson, West Virginia, and Washington State.

Illinois was a loss outside top 50 as well.

SOS is 109 so pretty weak especially since conference play started.

Miami has played 8 games against BPI top 50. Gonzaga has played 7. Why is winning by a large margin over crappy teams worse than beating Boston college, wake, gt, and Clemson? Gonzaga has done better than almost everyone against quality opponents. The loss to Illinois was when Illinois was playing good too. Michigan and Miami and probably a lot of other good teams have lost to teams outside the top 50 too
