It's funny how Libs always freak out about FOX being a conservative news channel, and how big of a slanted joke they are, all while ignoring the fact that literally every other channel is Liberally biased.

Roseanne was fired for comparing a black actress to a monkey. Obviously unacceptable and she deserves to be punished.

But never forget...

If you're going to call someone a monkey, make sure they're a white Republican male.

I always liked that they made fun of his ears and played into the Curious George narrative with Bush.

Plus, as your post implies, he makes a lot of facial expressions.

Here's the thing. Trump voters are pro gay, pro black, pro women, pro Mexican, pro American. You can be all these things and be a Republican. Roseanne is not a Republican, however. She considers herself a liberal. She just hates how far left her party has gone.

I guess the same could have been done with Obama. He has the ears for it too.

But there is more of a stigma with comparing a black person to a primate of any kind.

when we saw Black Panther, my gf's response to one of the tribes represented by silverbacks was surprise that it wasn't considered too sensitive.

If the spinoff focuses on Gilbert and her kids, this won't last long. Maybe the balance between Goodman and Gilbert can keep the show's vibe, but firing the star of the show usually doesn't bode well for the show's future.
