Did I just hear that viewers were down 35%???

Viewership was up 3% from last years season finale.

The down 35% you saw was from the series premiere last year which isn’t really fair to judge because that was the first episode from the new era so interest was at an an time high.

Originally thought to simply be a heart attack by the family, a few weeks after her death the coroner report stated it was a drug OD. Then as the family was gradually cleaning out Roseanne's personal items throughout the house they found several stashes of pills, many of which were not prescribed for her which pretty much confirmed the coroner report..... so she was a druggie.

Like I mentioned in the cancelled TV show thread......it's a silly decision by ABC to cancel the show.....instead they could have just fired Rosanne and killed off her character, and re-title the show as "The Connors".
