ellsbury can't get back soon enough... the tandem of hicks and gardner are killing this team. the misplay in the first inning by hicks cost CC the game. and gardner at the top of the order gives no chance for any kind of spark for the offense. c'mon ells, get healthy so this team can get to next level!

So, to recap, he hurt his oblique in Spring training, then hurt his hip rehabbing his oblique, now he's hurt his back rehabbing his hip and oblique.
What a freaking disaster.

ZiPS projects Martinez to slug .607 with 28 home runs for the remainder of the season. I don't think I've ever seen a .600+ slugging percentage projected, though maybe Miggy was a few years ago. Even at the beginning of the season, Trout was projected to a .590 slugging percentage (ZiPS now projects .598 for him).
