I am also curious now, what did I miss?
You didn't miss much. Ducks failed to go get any big name and made their OC their new HC. A guy with a lifetime record as a HC of something really laughable. He's a guy players and recruits love and that's about it.

Might call that a lot of non real news news. The story is the lack of a story.

Big visit weekend for the Dawgs kicks off well.

3-Star LB MJ Tafisi (Alta, UT) has committed to Washington. Offers from Cal, Oregon, Boise State, Utah, BYU, and Oregon State. Projected to slip into the Will LB role very well. Think Keishawn Bierria.

WOOF!!!

While the other shoe will drop on the Ducks recruiting class, this time on the defensive side, when Leavitt leaves to join Taggart at FSU after the Vegas bowl and possibly take one or more of his current assistants with him, the Ducks are planning to retain current pass game coordinator and QB coach Marcus Arroyo and make him the 2018 OC.

Behind the scenes this weeek, expect Cristobal to be looking at a list of potential new DC hires.

I’m not completely counting out the slim possibility that Leavitt stays, but he was already being paid a kings ransom by Phil, and it would probably take a massive counter offer that would be way over his new FSU salary to make him change course. He’s sticking around to the bowl game to help not break the terms of his contract. After that, I believe he can more cleanly leave.

Cristobal was 27-47 at FIU.....he couldn't win at a smaller school while Lane Kiffin could?

Doesn't bode well.....at all. Herm Edwards will do a better job at ASU imo. I actually really like that hire.

Cristobal lasted 6 years at FIU.....he'll be lucky to get 3 at Oregon.

With all the excitement about the Ducks hire I forgot about Herm Edwards heading to the desert, that could be an interesting hire or a great PR move...

Really? I get rooting for kids from your school when the hit the league, but standing over and taunting a guy that might have actually lost conciseness for a few seconds and was taken out of the game is about as low of a class thing as I've ever seen. There is ZERO to be prideful in that play. He deserved more than one game suspension for that.

Burfict is a total jackass and no one likes him, but that doesn't give a free pass for that sort of thing.

I don't condone what Juju did, but Burfict is a helluva lot more than just a jackass. He's arguably the dirtiest player in the NFL. He was dirty at ASU and he's dirty in the NFL. If the roles were reversed he would have and has done the same thing.

So, while I don't condone Juju taunting him...I have zero sympathy for Burfict.

And no he didn't. It was a clean hit, he just taunted him. Gronk goes WWE on a guy, after the play and got 1 game. Yet Juju should get more than 1 game for taunting after a clean hit?
