Decent episode if it were an every week episode...maybe a mid season finale. The flashbacks were incredibly stupid.

I did like the spin on Sasha. At least it wasn't, "Here is your girl Rick. Oops she is a zombie."

As for the size of the groups. There are obviously more in the Kingdom and Alexandria and the Hilltop. Looked like most of Jada's people died. That was a huge problem though. Lots of dead people and nobody significant in a gun fight. Kill some people already. Oh, and they still haven't shown how bad ass Jesus is.

Well, that wasn't the entire Sanctuary that was at Alexandria, not to mention all the the Outposts they have. Negan definitely has more people.

Yeah it's too bad about Jesus. They've really toned him down.

For once I really enjoyed the creativity they had. Cold open with Sasha dying, but at the time you aren't really sure what's going on. I think they spent a little too much time on the flashbacks though and it didn't quite hit, but hey I like the thinking.

This show continues to go down the bad path of all set up for 4 episodes. Like other's have said though everything is in place, there better be some shit happening next season. Let's see some creativity, smart decisions, smart characters. Let's see some victories and defeats.

The sniper-nest fight was better in the books, but this was alright. Rick should have SEEN the body fall, not just heard a scream. Seeing a body fall from where he knew she was (like in the books) would have been more meaningful.

I like that they changed up Sasha's death. They already blew that wad in Fear.

They had BETTER introduce an explanation for the feral-ness of the trashies. We are only 2-3 years into the apocalypse. No way adults will have retaliated this quickly. In the Mad Max universe, the kids have grown up in that world, and the apocalypse happened unknown years earlier.

Not sure how Shiva knows who to attack and who not to attack. And while they were marching to Alexandria, why was no one nervous when Zeke left her to talk to Morgan?

I was wondering why no one mentioned the Tiger knowing exactly who the bad guys and good guys are. You'd think there'd be a lot more friendly fire. The hilltop and the Kingdom have never even been to Alexandria.

I guess you just file that into the "never ending ammo" folder. It's just another thing you have to willfully ignore for the sake of movie magic. It's lazy direction though.

I guess this episode just make me wonder what's the point of it all. At this point, other humans are the only problem and pretty much always have been for the majority of the series run. Groups are pretty scarce. It's hard for me to watch an episode where people are killing each other for no reason other than it's their faction. What would you want for at this point in time? It really popped in my mind when Negan mentioned the pool table. You can't open out a pool hall in a basketball stadium at this point? There's too much infrastructure and too few people where I wonder why these people feel it's life or death amongst one another. Shit should be utopia at this point.

I don't know... I liked it for the most part. Thought the Sasha and Abraham flashbacks were a little much, but I get that this was Sasha's swan song so that is where all that came from I suppose.

The Garbage Pail Kids turning on Rick was a surprise I didn't see coming and Sasha popping out of the coffin was kinda cool... Honestly thought Dwight wasn't going to screw them over... Oops.

My main criticism has already been touched on. They're getting a bit too "Action Hero Movie" with the battle scenes IMO... The Kingdom people come rushing through the smoke to rout the retreating Saviors and a line of Saviors or Garbage Pails in cover with machine guns open fires on them and doesn't hit ANY of them?

Overall I liked the episode. I was craving for some action and certainly liked Shiva running rampant.

I distinctly dislike the Garbage Patch gang although the line. "Your's? I'll lie with him later" was pretty funny.
I liked the whole Sasha part even though it was clear what was going on. Even then Sasha's entrance from the coffin was great.

I guess since we're now used to the cavalry saving Ricks gang (Is Neegan on how bad a leader Rick is?), we should now expect the women from Oceanside to join the war?

I can nitpick like most of you are (it was silly that the Hilltop and Kingdom broke in to save the day just as the bat was being raised etc.) but it was an enjoyable episode. Still a very good show. I was happy. Set the stage for the war. No real complaints.

Didn't Dwight leave Darryl a note at the end on that carving telling him that he "didn't know" though?

Not sure Dwight screwed them over.

TOTALLY missed that... Damn, now I have to watch again. Was that at the end?

There was more than one plot hole in the episode, but it was solid. It did feel to drag on a bit

I kind of agree that I am still not sure about Dwight, but he had a gun in his hand and handed Lucille to Negan and could have killed him right then and there. Negan sent the army inside the walls without Dwight knowing that plan. So Daryl will still probably kill him, but they left another story on that front too.

Finally got to watch this morning. The sasha and abraham stuff was taking up the entire show. What the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck, and then finally, finally they gave me an OH!!!. Still think they could have gotten that point across in one segment and not blow what felt like 15 of the hour without commercial time.

Yes, very end

I originally thought that was what sasha used to do the deed, or that was in the box with her, just thinking it represented Abraham. Did not tie that to Daryl or Dwight, but it makes sense too.

Yeah, right before the end with Sasha and Maggie on the log, Daryl was closing the gate at night and seen the chess piece stuck in the gate enclosure.
