I mean a SP with RP elig. Duffy I hope is not this year's Roark. I can only hope if Duffy starts out struggling he's let go so I can swoop in and have a chance at him. That may have been the big ticket RP and I may find myself having to rely on closers if Buccholz does not work out.
Having a SP/RP allows me to not have to stack my entire lineup with two starts. I'm fine with 8-9 starts a week. But without solidarity in that RP position I might find myself needing to have two starts every week outside my big two pitchers. I'm not even sure if that is ideal to exclude Bum and Cueto.
Or, I might just take the risk and offer Cueto during the season for Duffy and something else. But that would blow up in my face if Felix and Harvey are duds.
