I mean a SP with RP elig. Duffy I hope is not this year's Roark. I can only hope if Duffy starts out struggling he's let go so I can swoop in and have a chance at him. That may have been the big ticket RP and I may find myself having to rely on closers if Buccholz does not work out.

Having a SP/RP allows me to not have to stack my entire lineup with two starts. I'm fine with 8-9 starts a week. But without solidarity in that RP position I might find myself needing to have two starts every week outside my big two pitchers. I'm not even sure if that is ideal to exclude Bum and Cueto.

Or, I might just take the risk and offer Cueto during the season for Duffy and something else. But that would blow up in my face if Felix and Harvey are duds.

Streaming SPs with RP eligibility is a pretty easy thing to do.

There will be dozens of guys who get dual eligibility during the season.

And there are plenty now before the season starts.

Its really only worthwhile in daily points Leagues imo.

no, I disagree... It is only a good strategy in weekly H2H categories... it is a valid punting strategy...

in daily leagues, I think it is a terrible strategy... as I think RP are king in daily leagues... you can start them every day, while SP only start when they have the start...

Or you can just put a closer in.... turnover is always abundant.

That's the thing. Two closers. It does not always work out.

I don't understand punting a category in daily leagues. Makes no sense to me. You can change your roster everyday. And chances that you have more than 3 starters going same time as your rp that can start is so low that it is really ireevant.

The RPs available are Feldman(playing phillies and in GABP), Perdomo, Cahill, Andriese among starters. I have Buccholz an his week 1 matchup looks unpredictable. Cahill and Perdomo are going to LAD so that's out, and Andriese I don't know.

My pitching does better with a solid RP with SP elig in one of the slots. And closers are a crapshoot. You don't know when the save opps will come.

Yeah... how is that different? We don't "know" anything. They are WAY more consistent in points than any Scott Feldmans you might find.

Smitty and Milk are having a crazy moment, with the crazier thing being me understanding Milk.

Anyway, Duffy. SP, RP, SP/RP, whatever.

Duffy.

I'm not following....
Its simple
1st its weekly league not daily
2nd he would rather take a chance on a RP that has 1 start over a closer who doesnt always get saves in a week:suds:

Ill take my chances with the closer:suds:

I think it would surprise everyone here but English is my first language. And the only one I speak.

I would ask you to come speak to my cooks for a pep talk, but the stumbling block is that you speak the wrong language.
