Yes because Western Carolina @ home is far more taxing than a home & away with other P5 teams. Go tell that crap to the cornbread, beans and sweet tea crowd that eat that shit up. Some of you SEC homers kill me sometimes .. I mean you people actually believe some of your bs.

You are talking about 1 game retard.

I guess you just need a SEC team to beat Alabama during the year so your team has a chance in the playoffs?

1 game can make or break a season. Also even some of the worst p5 teams can get to a bowl game now and then.

Your problem: Alabama still played a tougher schedule than Washington.

Let me repeat what has been said over and over. Washingtons ooc games were shit, except Idaho who won 9 games. I don't brag about a shit schedule and scheduling cupcakes like all the SEC homers. Play a 9 game conference schedule and no FCS teams. That is how it should be!

You just prefer to bitch about Alabama instead of your own team.

9 conference games is stupid btw. More is not always better.

Is that because you don't go to Alabama games? Because You don't spend your time and money to see Bama play Mercer?

Ya because there's nothing like a 14 member conference that plays an 8 game conference schedule. Have fun playing UGA twice in ten years.

No. But the truth is if I were to go see an Alabama game, it would probably be a game like Mercer since that would be the cheapest tickets.

It's because you need cross-links between conferences in order to have good measuring sticks between the conferences. When you have so many conference games in only a 12 game schedule it creates a data bubble and very limited data to compare between the conferences.

More OOC games provides more links between the conferences and better references and ability to properly judge team strength. Even lower quality OOC games help.

We need more games like Alabama vs USC rather than Alabama vs SEC teams or USC vs Pac12 teams we've seen them play over and over through the years.

But some of you just need shit to cry about, look at what your team is doing and just pretend like it's the best. It's dumb. The game needs to be nationalized more, not regionalized even more than it already is.

Getting 2 higher quality OOC games should be the direction. And that's getting even harder to do because the flexibility of scheduling is going out the window because some schools have stupid AD's that schedule games 10 years away. The NCAA should step in and offer some matchmaking type services for AD's to schedule better quality OOC games and make that process easier.

If we only play UGA twice in 10 years then it's because either Alabama wasn't good enough or Georgia wasn't good enough, because we should see them a few times in the SEC Championship game otherwise.

But more often than not it's Florida, and Alabama has a SEC Championship game rivalry with Florida because of it.

The truth is - there are 3 decent quality teams in the SEC East usually. Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. Tennessee is a rival game, we play it every year. If Alabama is good enough to win the SEC West, then we'll play one of those teams unless they aren't really good enough to make it on their end(aka when we played Mizzou instead).

When the SEC voted on it, Alabama was the only vote in favor of 9 game conference schedules. But it had nothing to do with schedule strength, Saban wanted it for recruiting purposes. Saban wants to be able to tell a kid in South Carolina that we'll play a game in South Carolina while they are there. And in that case, they just need to do away with divisions, keep 2 or 3 permanent rival games and rotate the rest. Then we'll see all teams on the schedule every 2 or 3 years even with only an 8 game conference schedule.

OK but you can't tell me Alabama somehow hasn't been able to schedule more than four away OCC games in twelve years . That's on purpose. Alabama plays Chatanooga and Western Carolina like twice each in the past five year. This year nine PAC teams will play @ OCC house and next year too. SEC even has one more opening to do it. So it's nice for an SEC fan to say, but they obviously don't want to play what might cause their teams to lose that one game that would drive the conference record down and drop lower SEC teams out of bowl games. And spare me about Saban voteing for a 9 game conference schedule when he knows it would never pass. He hasn't scheduled an away OCC game since he's been there. He has played ones that were scheduled before he got there.

UGA is in Bama's conference for fvks sake. Playing a team in your own conference twice every 10 years is a fvkng joke.

Alabama plays the neutral sites because Alabama is offered them. The same reason USC played Alabama last year in Alabama - you were offered it. It's better money for the team, it's not a hard decision for anyone to make. When we didn't get offered neutral site, we ended up doing a home and home with Penn St. I think we even went to an away game with Duke one year just to fill the schedule with a game.

Everyone plays the majority of their OOC games at home. Home games also equal money, and you can pay a lesser team that doesn't get big money at their home games to come in and make more money than you would in a home and home.

USC is playing a home and home because that is what you have available.

Michigan St AD is the only one I've seen turn down such an offer, and she seems a little dumb to me. Her reason sounded more like she was playing politics than anything.

LOL. Alabama played Penn State in 2011. This is 2017.You still pimping that game as some sort of example of how Alamaba schedules away OCC games? Thats pretty funny. When was the next one? ?lol
It's freaking Alabama . If they wanted to play home and home with big programs they could but they just want to play Neutral game. USC AD knows the fans like home and homes. Thats why USC plays them. USC would have been happy to play home and home with Bama. You can lie your ass of and say so would Bama but we all know its BS.

I'm not pimping anything, I'm pointing out how it works.

And yes, we could play home and homes. Neutral sites are better deals. When they are offered, you take them. Just like USC did.

Are you under some impression that Alabama controls who plays in these neutral site games?

I don't need to lie about anything - I am fine with Alabama's schedule. Just last year I got to watch them whip the living shit out of USC. I've been able to watch them play in the playoffs the past 3 years, and multiple BCS championships, etc.

I'm not the one that's butthurt - you are.

Playing 4 away OCC games in twelve years is how it works? Bama hasn't been offered any more? LOL. This is hilarious. USC does that in three years sometimes.
USC is a big time program. They choose to go play home and homes with other P5 teams. Alabama just doesn't . USC would have gladly not played in Jerry world and done a home and home. Alabama would just walk away from that. I watch USC play live at least five time a year. This year i go to South Bend for the Notre Dame game. I've actually seen Alabama play. You watch on TV . I wouldn't trade places with you when it comes to college football.

We will play them in the SECCG if they are a team of actual quality.
