Question for you guys...where do you rank Barry Bonds. Obviously me being a blind homer here, but I've never seen someone change an entire game, in and individualistic sport like baseball, like he did. It was amazing. Even with the whole steroids issue, he's got to be considered up there. I know Mays gets the nod over him over most purists, and I didn't get to see Mays in his days either.

It is so tough to judge those guys (Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, Sosa, etc). As hard as it is to go across eras, you want to factor in the juice? I mean, I know baseball doesn't care and Bonds will be in the HOF... and sooner than later (probably within 2 years). But, I still have trouble putting him up there with the all time greats, even though you are exactly right about how he impacted the game. The sad thing is, that he would have easily been a HOF player without the juice, as would Clemens.

Moss over Rice? What a homer...

When we did the banner decisions on GOAT per the 4 sports we had almost a unanimous decision for Baseball-Ruth, Hockey- Gretzky, NBA-MJ, but football we had so many different players. Montana, Jim Brown, Rice, and the list went on. Montana had just a few more votes then I think Rice who was 2nd in votes. So many great players in NFL but the other sports I think they is a clear cut favorite for best player for its sport.

Only because he was better.
At what? Crying?

Moss is a physical specimen and if he had a quarter of Rice's work ethic, this might be a worthwhile discussion. But, as it played out, Moss fell way short of Rice.

Redonkulous, Moss scared defenses more than any player who ever lived.

Then they could have been more vocal about him quitting on routes and being a negative on the team when he would pout

Rice had Montana and Young for 14 years, Moss had Culpepper, Wade Wilson, Sean Salisbury and other shit QB's, look what he did when he finally found a hall of fame QB, he broke Rice's record... Teams changed their drafts because of Moss, 1998 was Moss' rookie season in the 1999 draft Green Bay took 3 defensive backs with their first three picks, teams didn't do that for Rice...

He did tune the douche meter all the way down to almost bearable with the Patriots. That might also be because he saw the writing on the wall after all of those teams gave up on him

Barry scared Defenses as much or more than moss.

Yeah but Moss doesn't have the most negative yard receptions in the history of the game so... Also Moss didn't disappear in the playoffs... But I agree Sanders was a scary player but he was more a teams are scared cuz after 20 rushes for 30 yards he would bust one for 70 and make his numbers look great.

I suppose all those other teams quit on him after he could not win the super bowl with the most talented team in football

20 carries for 30 wasnt cause barry went down easy or tripped over himself, barry scared dline, lbs, secondary, and all their coaches. all i took issue with is that you said moss scared more defenses than any player that ever lived.

You ever think of participating in one of these mock drafts? It's fun plus you can win some vCash.
