TO misses the HOF again

TD's career was just too short. Borderline IMO. But no way he should be in before TO.

TD has been waiting much longer to get in. I do think that played in a bit of every single year he has been eligible he has finished in that top-8 range for voting but just never finished in the top-5 group. So always right on that edge. I think the voters know TO will eventually get in.

I'm with most of you on this one. The guy was a colossal prick and I hated to hear him talk and do his stupid shit but honestly, he was one of the best ever at his position. Probably top 3-4 all time and there are a few receivers in already who he is heads and tails above. The whole thing is a farce.

This is what bugs me about the football HOF. What is this "waiting their turn" business ? Baseball doesn't have this problem. When a guy who is one of the all time best at their positions becomes eligible they get in, 1st time. They don't wait their turn behind lesser players. I think it's hilarious. It's never too late to learn than actions have consequences. Don't act like a spoiled crybaby poisoning multiple locker rooms throughout an outstanding career, and this isn't even in question. His play was never the question, yet nobody wanted him.

Not that it's all wrong but there are some serious questions in the voting process. Baseball has writers that have said publicly that they will never vote any player on the first ballot and others that have stated flat out that they won't ever vote for certain players, regardless if they deserve it. The hockey HOF just inducted Eric Lindros which completely throws out any argument of longevity or consistency, does it not. We can all agree to disagree on who deserves to be in but the voters all have their personal bias and it will always be this way.

TD was very good. He did not change the game or defenses the way TO did.

TO was beyond great. Better than all wide receivers in the hall except 1.

I was referring specifically to football's presumed "waiting their turn" criteria for clear 1st ballot guys. That just doesn't happen in baseball, nor hockey or hoops, though I don't follow them all that closely... putting the PED issue aside which is a whole different argument.
