Vrabel is on the list. Who was his HOF QB?
It's a list of active HCs who have coached at least 90 games without a HOF QB.

Vrabel never had one so he's easy. For most of them I had to subtract out the games started by a HOF QB.

maybe the HOF coaches had something to do with being a HOF QB. I think it's safe to say Staubach gave credit to "the man with the hat". Looks like Aikman feels the same with Jimmy. I bet Montana and Young tips their hat towards the Genius.

maybe I don't understand the point of he thread.

Bart Starr always felt the same about Lombardi, he often talks about the 1st meeting Lombardi had with team and he knew things were going to change and they were going to start winning.

Lombardi took a 1-10-1 team from 1958 and turned them around in 1959 and finished 7-5 and many of the players were the same. Not much to talk about with Packers 59 draft.

Of the 12 Packers HOF members from Lombardi era:
- 7 were already on the team before Lombardi got there (Starr, Taylor, Hornung, Ringo, Kramer, Gregg, Nitschke)
- 3 came in 1960 (Davis, Jordan trade with Browns), Wood undrafted free agent
- 1 came in 1961 (Adderley drafted)
- 1 came in 1963 (Robinson drafted)

Many of the players felt the same as Starr about Lombardi, he made them winners.

I did not like the GB Packers in 67/68 but then I read Kramer's, " Instant Replay". Suddenly I was in love with NFL football, not just a fan of the team from my city.

Tip of the cap towards those days.

Brian Billick won with Dilfer.
Oddly enough, Billick's win percentage is exactly the same as Harbaugh's without Lamar.

They've been doing something right in Baltimore ever since they stopped being the Browns.

Book is a great read and have read it a couple of times, almost makes you feel as though you are part of the team going through the season. Lombardi era is a bit before I was born... always listened to the stories of the 60's Packers from my dad and uncles growing up with 70/80s Packers.

Have another of his books "Farewell to Football", pretty good, but not nearly as good as "Instant Replay".

Now do Tomlin without Roethlisberger

Suspect it won’t be that bad
