We would have to trade our 1st, 2nd, and our 4th (if we had one) to move up to about #15 to take a flyer on a T.Then trade up and take one, thats how badly we need one.
You sure that is a good idea?

For one thing, its too early to say how many first round OTs there are. Draft boards are in protoform right now and will look very different come draft day.
I would bet 4 or 5 OTs go round one. All i want is for our FO to do what it takes to get one that can be a good starter.
If we go into 2017 with fant at lt and gilliam at rt, just forget it, we wont advance past the divisional round again. It wont matter what depth picks we make on defense.

LOL.Of course he's sure. That's been the crux of this whole conversation.

Trading players is a possibility too, i will be surprised if graham is on the team next year.
Seems like they want to keep willson, and it makes no sense to have $15m+ in cap space for TE.
So who knows, maybe graham is draft day trade bait.
Teams that need OT:
LA Chargers
Carolina
Buffalo
Denver
Seattle
New England
Teams that need OL generally:
Cleveland (picks 1 & 12)
San Francisco
Chicago
Jacksonville
Cincinnati
Indianapolis
Houston
(2017 NFL Draft order and needs for every team)
And with that, nearly half of the teams picking ahead of us could look at OL before us.
So then what? Start fant and gilliam again?
If there is a 1st round caliber offensive linemen still available by the time we get to our pick at #26 we have to take him
If not then I want to rebuild LOB
1st Round
1) Sidney Jones (CB - Washington)
- He is 6'0 with long arms and good ball skills. High football IQ, good enough speed for the NFL, and a willing tackler on run defense
2) Adoree Jackson (CB - USC)
- Electric player on special teams and a promising prospect at cornerback in the NFL. Jones definitely has better size and length, but I think Jackson can be a hell of a playmaker and disruptor on this defense
2nd or 3rd Round
1) Budda Baker (S/CB - Washington)
- Budda would be an immediate insurance as backup safety for Earl, but I'd like to mold him into a slot corner kind of like Tyrann Mathieu
It's the most likely scenario. I know you hate it. You've written about it over and over. But, Pete wants to play the long game - which means developing your own line. It was bumpy this season, and they were as inconsistent as the rest of the team, but they're still young and could actually improve in the coming seasons.
Hey, didn't watch much Huskies football this year, so was wondering about Kevin King. Is he anything worth keeping in the back of our minds in the late 2nd or 3rd?

Im not the GM, thats up to them
Anybody with two braincells to rub together can identify OT as a desperate need. Ignoring the need because nobody will be there at 26 would be a tragedy
No. Taking someone who's no better, or is worse, than what we have at #26 would be a tragedy. Teams draft solely need all the time - they're called the Browns.
