1. Bell (if he stays in PIT)
2. Zeke
3. D-Johnson
4. AB
5. ODB

and because I'm bored...

6. Evans
7. Julio
8. Gordon
9. Freeman
10. McCoy
11. Nelson
12. Ajayi
13. D Murray
14. Hilton
15. Howard
16. Ingram
17. AJ Green
18. Cooks
19. Charles
20. L Miller
21. Gronkowski
22. T Hill
23. Gurley
24. Forte
25. J Hill
26. Cooper
27. Coleman
28. Baldwin
29. K Allen
30. Blount (call me apprehensive due to the hoodie & D Lewis' reemergence)

Honorable mentions:
*Hyde
*L Murray
*D Adams
*AP if he doesn't hang 'em up
*Lacy (if he stays in GB & loses all that weight again lol, but I wouldn't draft him)
*Cj Anderson (not sure what to think right now)
*D Martin
*J Reed
*Hopkins (new OC in Houston?)
*A Robinson
*Watkins (new QB?)

If we throw QB's into the situation then Rodgers, Ryan & Brady crack the top 30 easy.
I'd call ya overly optimistic on Blount, not apprehensive. No guarantees he's even in NE next year. For his sake, he'd better be.

In my league WR's were the top scorer for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

So my top 5 are:

1) AB
2) Mike Evans
3) Julio Jones
4) Dez
5) OBJ

Nice thread. My list is in the car and I only split it by position. But my top 3 looks like yours

Bell
Johnson
Zeke

There is a drop after that. This is shaping up to be a lot like the good old days with 3 elite RBs and then a drop to the rest.

If my next two are WR I'd say Brown, Julio, Evans, Beckham and Dez are all in play. At RB, McCoy, Gordon, Gurley all in play depending on how the coaching and circumstances around them shape up. But you usually don't want a guy going through a lot of change being in your top 5.

I gotta see the QB direction
Not that it matters in my ranking of Shady, (not so great qb, stick with run heavy..good for Shady, better QB, better the offense..good for Shady), but, I'm hoping Cardale makes a developmental leap. If he can get the nuances down, I think he could be electric

He could be. I cant say that I have seen him playing averaging. He was either really good or really bad in college lol.

that is more of a reason to have Bell and DJ in your top 5... it is not just who scores the most, but who scores the most compared to the rest of their position... if you are so receiving heavy, then the big time receiving RBs are invaluable...

looking too tough to argue against the top 3 RBs, Bell Zeke Johnson.
I don't think there is a way for those 3 to not be my top picks (in any particular order) right now.

Watched Bell and Johnson carry teams in the playoffs this fantasy season. Didn't see a lot of Zeke owners go far in my leagues, but that was probably more due to them than him, but not sure what his #s were down the stretch.

Give me Brown and Evans to round out the 5

Last five with our MBBRL standard decimal scoring...24 16.5, 10.7, 24.8, 21.2..wasn't his fault. Guess if you had a must win in wk 14, you could try to blame him

There isn't a QB available that is "better".

If the Bills do not bring Taylor back, they have lost one Bills fan.

I think all of you who are putting WR in your top 5 are crazy.
WR is the deepest position.
Just off the top of my head, I'd be willing to wager that any fantasy team that won had done so because of their RB depth. (And teams that had lost were because they were RB-challenged.) Bottom line you can wait on a stud WR.

Depends.
I say that only because some may be more consistent than others.

That's the same logic that suggests since QB scores the most they are worthy of being picked first.
Again, the position is deep and you can find value after the first round.

I get that many teams employ a committee or don't run as much, yet the fact that most leagues start 2 RB still make their value more crucial to your team.
And this thread is talking about the FIRST 5 PICKS.... would be crazy to pass on RB that early since the drop-off in their value is sudden and significant.

Well, of course the first question to be answered is whether you are playing standard or any type of PPR...

in standard, backs are generally much more valuable than receivers... while PPR, the opposite...

Whoever takes Demarco Murray is going to have to take Derrick Henry relatively quick, the Titans can't sit on him but so long.
