What should they do with Brooklyn's pick? The best 4 prospects in the Draft go as following, PG, PG, SF, PG and that SF is somewhat similar to Jaylen Brown. Do you draft a PG despite having IT and Smart?

Ainge has to pick a direction and quick, after just signing Horford it would indicate that they want to compete for a title, but they are a piece or two away from that.

They should either keep the pick, trade some of their core players in Horford, Crowder, etc. and rebuild around the assets they get in return & the BKN pick, or trade the pick and a core player for a star and try to give Bron a run for his money.

I know one thing, and that's Thomas would NOT be happy if they drafted a franchise PG and kept them. Especially after the season he's had, trust me.... I'm an expert on having too many PG's and the problems it creates.

Either way, it's a great problem to have and they are in good shape no matter what direction they go.

Here are some trade targets:

1) Paul George. Give Indy the BKN pick, Jaylen Brown and another piece or two and it could get the job done.

2) Jimmy Butler. Chicago probably wants to deal him outside of their conference so not likely.

3) Hassan Whiteside. If they throw the Brooklyn pick at Miami it could be tough for them not to take it. Landing two top 5 picks in this draft could expedite their rebuild process.

4) Gordon Hayward- Free agency. If they landed him AND used the pick to trade for another asset all of the sudden watch out.

5) Paul Millsap- Not worth the BKN pick due to him being a FA this summer, but maybe Jaylen Brown and a future pick could be a fair value for both teams.

They can't take another pg!!!!!!!

I love Lonzo Ball.

Can't take him unless you unload Thomas.

Problem being: Can you really justify trading a 26ppg guy on a contract that's equivalent to NBA welfare just because he's tiny?

Trade it for a star/guy on the cusp.

I think Danny is in a good position. I dont think you will see any moves unless it brings a super star scorer or a star rim protector. Bench is deep and there is enough talent in the wings that is young and waiting to develop. They have shooting, passing, super defense. They need a stud rebound blocking machine depending on opponent they get eaten up by bigs still. Maybe the deal happens on draft night. They arenot ready this year for Cavs. Rebuild is almost complete tho

Right now? Nothing. Keep it to see where it lands. Assess the situation after the lottery and go on from there. If its like #1 or #2 or where the consensus best players are all PGs, look to trade it then. It doesn't even have to be for a superstar. They could just trade down in the draft. For example, here's a hypothetical: Boston trades #1 overall to Philly for Nerlens Noel and pick #6 (Lakers pick owed to Philly), and Boston drafts Jayson Tatum. They're in basically a no lose situation whether its traded for picks, superstars or they just pick someone themselves.

Would be great if any of those guys actually wanted to play for Boston.

WildTurkey's proposal makes the most sense.

LOL. Good luck with that!

Seriously though, the Kings should be offering Cousins for that pick and perhaps Smart + contracts.

Thats the beauty of the depth of this draft. So many possibilities. I'm not sure I like Tatum specifically, but I get your point.

The best trade option they could hope for is Westbrook. He would cost a lot but they have a lot to trade.

That's actually a great trade for them. Noel would be perfect.

He's from Boston too.

Well, Malden.

My only concern would be he's a rfa.

If another Team overpays, do you match?

That's your freebie of the year after you bet me on the Lakers-Clipps game when BG and CP were out for the game.

I'll be watching football today but I'll keep my eye on that game.

If they're gonna trade Cousins, I'd want it to be for a high pick and one or two solid young players. Since he won't be traded, they should at least be moving Rudy Gay and Collison.

A Godfather offer for Cousins would look like:

BOS: DeMarcus Cousins, Darren Collison

SAC: Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Brooklyn's pick, Amir Johnson (for salary purposes)

Might be the best they can get for him, and DC can go too.
