What a bunch of typical bullshit, expected though. So all of the sudden 5 years is "forever"? Meyer's been @ Ohio State 3 years longer than Harbaugh's been in ann arbor. And stop the crying about the current roster. JH took Hoke's recruits & doubled the win total in 1 year. Funny that since Yer Boyz lost the most important game of the season all of the sudden they were overrated all year. The only reason you're saying that nonsense is Ohio State beat meeeechegan yet again.
Saban and Meyer both managed to win NC's with inherited players. Harbaugh came into a gravy situation and still can't even win the conference. Some coaches have "it", some don't.

Dick Vermeil is in the same rest home I'm in. He is too friggin old. He is 80 years old.
80 is just a number. That man coached two different teams to the SB.

5-7 is not a gravy situation. Come on. You have to give him some credit for getting those players on track. Those players were asscheecks two years ago and not awesome last year.

The mighty tOSU barely beat 3 win Sparty, then barely beat an MI team in it's infant stage. No wonder some tOSU fans are paranoid.

We're gonna be fine.
Infant stage is pretty strong, but I certainly think the program has room for improvement. I don't think it is at its peak.

How many of the players who were major contributors to this team are juniors or seniors? If your major contributors are upper classmen, it doesn't make it a team in its infant stages.

Can we really call a Harbaugh team barely two years old anything but in its infancy stage? I don't see how we can.

No not at all. I've been saying all along I don't expect big things until at least year 3 or 4. Let Jim recruit and coach up his own players first before we even try to dream of being equals to tOSU.

Youngest Urban has had BY FAR. Youngest team in the nation. Harballs had one of themost experienced teams in the nation. Yes, he will be getting his recruits now but dont act like you didnt have some very good, experienced veterans.

Ya but Meyer has been there for how long? You guys are so far ahead of us in so many areas it hurts. As good as Harbaugh is, it will take time to put his stamp on MI the way Urban has his stamp on the Buckeyes.

Nah. I had us losing that game by a lot more than 2 points. I had us losing to Iowa too. I refer to you guys as tOSU. You call us dumb names kids use. Were not on the same page here.

Let's talk football and act less like were talking politics.

Alright but you never answered the question, are the primary contributors to this team upper classmen? Should Texas have kept Charlie Strong because they were still in the "infancy stage"? Most coaches are given three years to get things going. Unlike many coaches starting out, there was lot of raw talent (two top ten classes) that just wasn't coached very well. Unless you are going to tell me that players like Peppers and Glassgow are horrible and useless players, then Harbaugh did have a solid base to start with.

A lot of those players were ruined by Hoke. See Smith, Kalis and Magnusen. A lot were off the team and/or never panned out. See Green, Morris and most of the OL classes from 2012 and 2013. The cupboard was much more bare than one realizes. Rich Rod was given more talent to work with. The 2014 and 2015 recruiting classes were god awful as well. How about actually looking up the players they had to rely on.

The primary contributors to this team or not kids that have been recruited and groomed by Harbaugh, no. My point is simply that Harbaugh has been here less than 2 years when we played tOSU. I'm not one of those arrogant MI fans that expected him to come in and win the B1G, topple tOSU and win the NC in two years.

Before he was hired, with the mess given to him. Most analysts said 3 to 4 years. He has exceeded expectations. People are dumb asses expecting NC in two years. Should they have won the B1G knowing what we know and how much he really has exceeded expectation? Sure. Still doesn't take away the fact that he has the program on track much quicker than most of us imagined.

Neither had the competition that MI does with the current tOSU program. Apples to oranges. Do you really think MI was ever one of the top 3 programs in the nation this year? I don't.

100% agree. He's absolutely coached an overachieving team this year.

I don't get why other people don't see this. A lot of those Seniors and Juniors were overachieving. You have like 6 legit players for sure. But others had some weaknesses.

Saban was competing against a loaded, Meyer coached UF team in a super tough conference at the time and inherited Mike Shula's recruits. Harbaugh has it good comparatively.

Saban was hired slightly earlier in the process. He was able to get a legit recruiting class his first year in. Harbaugh missed one recruiting cycle. Also, Shula out recruited hoke his last year compared to Hoke's 2014 which sucked.

I think tOSU is better than those FL teams, but I'm not going to argue about it because it's close. Did you expect MI to win the NC within 2 years?
