Well I'm hoping that both sides are happy in the end. I"m excited by the potential of Lynch but obviously haven't had the chance to see much on the field. I really liked Dak going into the draft and I know he was next on the Broncos big board for the QB position so good chance we would have taken him in the 2nd if you guys had traded up and gotten Lynch. Not sure Dak is doing quite as well in Denver as he is in Dallas as the OL and running game can make life much easier on a young QB. Still he looks like a consistent starter that will be in the league for quite some time.
There is nothing like what is seemingly a perfect fit. And that's Dak right now. working well with everybody and his ability to run helps as well.
Cut him after 6/1 and you save $14M in 2017...cut him before 6/1 and save $5M in 2017 and you're done with his cap hit entirely...not so hard...The reality is Tony is going to be hard to move.
Romo's dead money hit next year is still too high for him to be released, and it's too heavy for DEN to take on in a trade.
At the same time, if Romo still thinks he can be a starter and there is some demand out there, I can see JJ re-working his contract in DAL to make him easier to trade...maybe DAL takes hit on a portion of it if that can be done.

Denver trades for him and they owe him only $14M for 2017. Not so hard either.

Talk to me after 6/1Okay...make it happen.
Talk to me after 6/1
I say the Jets or maybe the Bears.
Tony is done. B2B years with back issues is going to end his career.
You know I have heard this a few times and I guess I just don't see it.
1) The Broncos have signed players with the thought that cap wise they were going to have 2 very cheap options at the QB position for the next few years. They have the cap space to make it work but I think it would make things a lot tighter than they want.
2) His injury history combined with the Broncos having an OL that is in transition and will be once again next year just doesn't set up well for him lasting 16 games.
3) Kubiak's system is QB friendly but most QB's take at least a year to adjust mostly just to the language part of it. The playcalling is something many QB's have talked about in the past that takes a long time to feel comfortable. So not sure they are looking for a 1-year rental that might take longer to adjust than they would want.
4) Outside of Denver people don't hear this as much but those connected to the team I can promise you they are down right giddy about the potential of Lynch after this season. They are mostly just working to protect him a bit this year since he is still learning the system and mostly how to just play from under Center but he daily leaves the coaches in awe of his natural talent. I'm thinking they are wanting to get him on the field sooner than later.
People were talking about you like you were ban-hammered.....good to see you!!!
I actually have been having to work at work.
That sucks, my apologies.....REPORT THEM TO THE DEPT OF LABOR!!!!
How's Siemian working out?
Fair enough, it's just my opinion.Seriously? You can talk all you want about Romo being injury prone and a stupid move for a team to count on him because he isn't likely to get through a season, but to say he is no better than Bradford is absolutely insane...
Romo normally does choke going down the stretch. You know he's looking up stats, all the while insisting that the MEDIA has always said Romo chokes down the stretch.
