Ok...I don't see how they got better now, but I hear ya.
They will play better. You watch. Fire lit under asses, will play better now.
Addition by subtraction.

If BB thought he could reconcile whatever Collins has done, said or was doing, I'm sure he would have done it. I think Collins' freelancing had gotten beyond the point of redemption. The final nail was his decision to charge the gap on Gilisee's(?) 28 yard bolt. Collins "job" was to cut off the edge not slash through the Guard/Tackle gap. When he realized that he was already behind the runner, he compounded the error but sliding 15 feet on his ass.
Patricia took him out and subbed Elandon Roberts who immediately made 3 tackles. He put Collins back in and he decided to pay his own game again and Roberts pretty much played the remainder of the game. More importantly, did his "job".
Think whatever you want, Belichick gets paid $8M a year to win championships and not listen to media, fans or players. He does his "job". And he does it pretty well.
Simple enough, do you think trading Jamie Collins was a good move or bad move for the Patriots?
I'm going with good trade. There is something more to this story behind the scenes. I'm thinking he was moved because he was an internal problem so they took what they could get to get him out of the locker room.
Ed Zachary and they will be the better for it.
But can he play DE or Linbacker?
In other words, you think Belichick doesn't make mistakes and is above all criticism. I think maybe some Patriots fans are taking this the wrong way. No one is saying Belichick doesn't know what he's doing. At this point, his resume speaks for itself.
But that doesn't mean the man is perfect. He can make mistakes, too (like that gameplan in Miami last year). And based on what we know right now, this certainly doesn't seem like a good move.
Please don't mention onside kick up 14 to Philly ( loss) Defer in OT to Jets ( loss) Bad play calling vs Denver with 230 left up 7 and not making them use T/O's not 3 straight passes ( loss in OT) and Miami icing on cake. Your making me mad in Bill I have no clue
No no no no, don't you realize Belichick is a genius and never makes mistakes? Please don't mention onside kick up 14 to Philly ( loss) Defer in OT to Jets ( loss) Bad play calling vs Denver with 230 left up 7 and not making them use T/O's not 3 straight passes ( loss in OT) and Miami icing on cake. I vote too early to tell.. I mean it's not like the Patriots have played a game without him yet
