I'm sorry, I forgot that I can't type too fast for you because you can't keep up.

The point I was making, is you give Alabama players the benefit of the doubt always while every other team does not. You are a huge homer. It is ok. Embrace your bullshit.
Not entirely accurate. He went to bat for an OU player for like 3 pages with Ralphie in a thread once even when we didn't say shit about the situation either.

I've done it for many others as well.

Either some people around here are annoying goody two shoes and never did anything when young, or they seem to forget what it's like to be that age.

Personally, I fucked up often and feel I'm lucky to only get caught the few times I did.

I fucked up as well, but I believe that if you screw up, you should be punished.

I don't know about Alabama, but in Michigan, the driver of the car is responsible for everything that happens in their car. So if someone has drugs, driving without a seat belt, having a wanted felon. The driver is responsible for it.

Yeah, people smoking pot at 2am in a parking lot are a real problem in society. I can't believe it's not an issue being brought up in the presidential debates.

Doesn't make it any less illegal. Just like the stupid rule that's got half the FCS team suspended for the Florida State game. I don't agree with it but if you are dumb enough to get caught, take your punishment.

My opinion on weed is the same as prostitution. Legalize it, regulate it, tax the living shit out of it. It isn't going to effect me one way or another except maybe we get better roads and school systems.

Why should it be taxed at all?

Sin taxes are bullshit.

It's the only way Uncle Sam will legalize it is if they get their cut. If it helps us get better roads, school systems, public services at other people's expense by their choice I'm all for it. It's a brand new revenue stream and will not cause an increase in taxes to pay for other public goods. Michigan went smoke free at all restaurants. I felt they should just did a tobacco license, like a liquor license. Have a third the amount of liquor licenses and charge twice as much.

what are you even talking about? He didn't have drug charges.

That is why they checked the car because it reeked of marijuana. The passenger took responsibility for it.

It should be legal because it's the right thing to do, not because it's good revenue.

I understand the reality of it, and I'd rather it be legal and taxed than illegal(because I still won't pay taxes on it), but it kind of irks me that people think these things can/should be taxed just because. Taxes should have good reason to exist.

If you are going to be taxing cigarettes, alcohol, and gasoline why wouldn't you tax weed? I would much rather have the State be smart with the money and not reward departments for going over budget and punish those going under budget, taking higher bids because they pay bigger kickbacks, but that isn't going to change anytime soon. If the money was spent wisely and goes to the proper areas, why not tax it?

Gasoline is one of the few valid taxes we have in this country. Gasoline taxes pay for roads, so it's a great consumption tax because the more you use the roads, the more tax you pay. If you don't have a car, you don't use gas, and you don't pay for the roads. It's about the most perfect example you can have of how taxes should work. Of course some states have started taking that money and using it for other stuff, but that's another topic.

There should be direct justification/expenses tied to such products. Cigs and Alcohols are nothing but sin taxes, and they are mostly bullshit. Could see a small tax to pay for regulation costs and that's about it.

Speaking of which, I am sure that Nick Saban feels taxed by his star players who keep getting busted for weed and guns.

Where did I say he was charged? It is the same as the Cam Robinson arrest -- it was someone else's.

My point is -- why are they putting themselves in the situation to begin with? Football has provided them with what amounts to a winning lottery ticket. Is it that difficult to tell your friends, if they are going to smoke, to do so somewhere other than your car?

It isn't just Bama guys, though the last couple high profile guys have been -- look at Nkemdiche. Look at the Honey Badger. Just to name a few -- I just don't get the stupidity.

Guns are legal and pot should be.

It's dumb to put their futures at risk, but the charges in these cases aren't anything that will upset me.

Yeah but carrying a weapon without a license is pretty stupid to do in today's world...
In Alabama open carry is legal without a permit. It's not a smart thing to do and actually pretty dangerous.

I'm supposed to assume the Alabama player is automatically guilty?

As much as anyone with common sense would assume he is innocent. But then again you've never had common sense.

So let me see if I got this right.

If 2 people are in a car and 1 of them is an Alabama player, the weed must be his?

For the record, I don't even remotely care about the weed. Or the gun really. Guns and weed are ok in my book.

Shooting/Robbing people for weed - well then we are talking.

For the record, you are not the law.

But internal punishment should fix everything, right?

So that's the rule huh? 2 people in a car, 1 of them is a football player, so it must be his weed?

That's somewhat disappointing really. I would hope if I was a football player people would be hooking me up for free more often.

As much as you are assuming it isn't his. No one with a brain could assume he didn't take part in smoking.
