To me, he really shot himself in the foot of gaining any of my support when he went out wearing the pig/cop socks and said that's about the bad ones only.

If someone came out on the other side pushing for race relations between police and inner city youth blacks and said "well I call some of them tar babies because a percentage of them are violent and have zero respect for the law", his stance would be destroyed in public.

As irritated as I am with the players protest tactics, the SCPU is even more out line if they are serious about this.
Why? If they don't want to work the game anymore, why does that make them out of line?

Because if they really want to protest his protest, they should show up and honor the flag.

I'm not sure I understand your position. How would showing up protest his protest?

Makes more sense to me that if they don't like what he's doing, they don't have to show up to protect the 49ers and their fans. Just like Kaepernick has the right to sit during the anthem, they have the right to use their time in some other fashion.

I understand their rights, just like I understand Kaeps.

But there is an entire team there that isn't following his lead, along with tens of thousands of fans. Trying to force the 49ers hand to do something is just weak. To show strength and unity with all those that are still honoring the flag would be to join them. Anyways, it's an empty threat and just made them look dumb IMO.

I see your point, I just disagree. They don't like what he's doing, so they're trying to put pressure on the 49ers to do something about it. That's smart IMO.

And they have anointed him back up. Which he will do until Gabbert is either stinking or injured.

#1 uni sales next to Zeke Elliot.

Somebody doesn't think he's shit on a stick.

Who was going to take his job, Christian Ponder?

When a team decides they'd rather go with Blaine Gabbert, you might as well hang them up.

Easy to say.

Hard to do.

Being #2 with a few million coming isn't that hard to do.

Your head coach made a career out of being #2.....

He will be #1 before year is out.

Kaepernick went from starting in (and very nearly winning) a Super Bowl, to a backup to Blaine Gabbert on a crap team. I'd say his career is circling the toilet, and will be over soon.
