lol...I really hope the kid can turn it around, but he Martavious Bryant, and probably even Bell...are just slow learners when it comes to life lessons.more than enough time for him to fail another drug test or 2.

You really don't get it do you.. Are you really going to compare Rosa Parks and the Civil Rights movement to the NFL? Let me guess you believe these players are slaves too, getting whipped by their masters.Lower talent level. You didn't understand that?
Onterrio was told to sit in the back of the bus and he said no. It cost him his career. Rosa Parks was more successful. The fans are still waiting for their Rosa Parks. It's a shame we gotta wait so long.
At least you are consistently ridiculous on these topics...100% blame the league. The guy was just living his life. The league said "well we don't want you then." He didn't share his pee with them, they demanded it.
It's a fucked up policy and Josh Gordon is one of its victims.
So don't blame the leagueTypical response of a 20 something or millennium blame the league.
Police officers, service men and women, other public servants who make 1/10th of these athletes have to take urine tests. In most cases if they fail one they're fired and lose their career. Pro athletes get chance after chance.
It's unfortunate that some of these athletes were born with their freakish talent. Never had to work for anything. Thus they feel they don't need to follow the rules right, wrong or indifferent.
What's the average Football players career, 6 years or something. All these idiots need to do is stop smoking till you're 30. Retiree and smoke their ass off on a beach somewhere for the rest of their life.

You're idiotic statements isn't a strong argument for the legalization of Marijuana. Maybe it's time you laid off the stuff for awhile.
It bothers the hell out of me when people try to compare what went on in the Civil Rights era to today, especially with pro sports.I think he was...I decided not to even touch that one...just smh.
Agreed. It bothers the hell out of me when people try to compare what went on in the Civil Rights era to today, especially with pro sports.
I'm comparing changing discriminatory practices to changing discriminatory practices.

Likewise to that 1st point bold.
To your 2nd point in bold...you think that we, the fans are being short changed because rules are keeping some players off the field. There is truth to that, particularly if you're f an of that team.
I think the players are adults, working as professional athletes...in the vast majority of work environments, there are dos and don'ts...i.e. conditions for employment...as you understand, we have to conform to those rules to stay employed...I don't think it should be any different for pro athletes.
Because pot is still an illegal substance on the federal law books, the solution imo is for Josh Gordon and all other like-minded players to conform to the league rules. Once that changes...then we have a realistic conversation about the NFL changing this rule.

Bingo. You can't believe that one guy who could not follow simple instructions is making the fans suffer.
eaglenutjob: "I'm consistent because I'm ethically and morally correct, Now let's go do drugs!!!"Nope.
I'm consistent because I'm ethically and morally correct.
Nope.
I'm consistent because I'm ethically and morally correct.
I wouldn't include Bell with Bryant. Bell's recent issues are for a missed test that apparently the tester did not make sufficient contact with Bell to schedule. Hard to show up for a test you don't know is happening.
