I'll say it again but it's great to have a poster like HammerDown who sees everything the way it really is. Has the same values that I do and believes that cheating should not be accepted in any sports. That goes for the teams I root for as well. I just hope that most Patriots fans with children don't raise there kids the "Patriot way." Where winning at all costs is acceptable. Keep up the good work Hammer. If only he was man enough to do this 18 months ago he'd have saved himself a lot of time and not tarnished his legacy so. Sentence of 4 games is still WAY too strong for the cheating, but based on his actions of the last 18 months, IMO he deserves it even if the original sin was worth about a $100K fine at most.

The Pats will survive, he'll come back a little less poor after pulling that contract stunt and all that will be remembered of this is how he handled it and dragged it on. He brought however this is remembered upon himself. Personally I hope it is remembered as him being a whiny, spoiled baby with no accountability and as a liar that did break the rules...but not as a huge cheater, because I still say the transgression just wasn't that bad.

Exactly right Jarnett. If I was a Pats fan I would try to see the silver lining. Now they can find out what they have in Garopplo, all the better to know if they need to draft a QB next draft. Brady will be fresher and less beat up for the rest of the season and they'll most likely still win the division.
