The reaction to Atlanta cheating will always be proof to me that for most fans & the media it's all about who is doing the cheating and not the cheating itself.

Some of that though is that they admitted it day 1. There was none of this trying to fight it clear to the Supreme Court kind of thing. If day 1 Brady or the Patriots say "yeah we did it" then this whole thing is a footnote of a footnote. Now yes I do agree that who cheats matters to fans as those on top will always be more highly scrutinized but I think more plays into this than just who.
