If you're an advanced stats guy Larsson's numbers are already incredible. If not for Deboer stunting his growth for 2 1/2 years who knows where he'd be at this point? Regardless, he's a top pairing d man, hoping he takes that next step this year and becomes our true number 1.

I know it isn't his game nor is he built for it but man I see hedman and that's what I want in my 1 d man. Physical big with a hammer shot and can take the puck coast coast. Larson still looks like a 18 year old out there body wise.

Because they have no complimentary talent. All of their best players are the same type of players. They need D, they need goaltending, they need power forwards etc. If they give up RNH they still have Eberle, Hall, McDavid etc.

What Im reallyhoping for isKeller being available when the devils pick. And the devils grabbing Clayton Keller. Its been said thats who they are looking at. If that happens I will be extremely happy

I like EVERYTHING i read about Keller... he's definitely my pick/target there... hell, maybe even in a small move up if necessary but there are very good options out there if Keller is gone too...

Apologies for the jumbled post iPhone. Watch the footage on Keller the kids amazing. He's got exceptional speed. Is aggressive on the pk. He's got amazing vision and unbelievable passing skills. His wrist shot is reminiscent of Sakic. The only area I think he may need work is finishing on break aways. If he drops to the Devils and they snag him i'll be ecstatic

I was just talking about Deboer stunting larcenous growth recently. IMO if not for debars habits of playing favorites like Harold etc. I think Larsson is A top tier defensemen now. But I think he's well on his way with Hynes

Pretty much. When Deboer got canned and Stevens/Oates took over, reporter after talking with Stevens, "We heard more good things about Adam Larsson in 3 minutes than we have in 3 years".

Deboers handling of Larsson never made sense to me. Larssons numbersa s A rookie and his play were impressive imo. Playing liabilities like Harold,Fayne,etc.... Over Larsson did not make sense pertaining to his development. Or putting the best players on the ice under Deboers tenure imo.And you have to wonder what that power play may have looked like with Larsson on the point and Kovalchuck on the half boards where he belonged

The kid can fly size speed and skill. If the biggest knock on him is he's too fast I'm thrilled with that

i have to say watching the draft unfold it was the worst possible situation for the devils to be in. none of the top guys fell and no one stepped up and took any d like they were suppose to.


when keller went to the yotes at what? 6? you know we were toast.


devils sitting there with either brown or chychun as the "top" ones left. i was happy they moved back a spot figured when they took brown that the devils would take the best d man in the draft or next best d man i was surprised they drafted michael. i'm not a draft wiz or anything i couldn't tell any of these kids apart but after reading up on him and then seeing his clip above ^^^^ from a different website. it made total sense that this was who they were after all along. i am all for speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed give me speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed more speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed please! yeah there is talk he can't finish but you know what with those wheels he will create a ton of other opportunities.

i read he was the "safest" pick on the board and he will most definitely be an nhl player so how can you go wrong with that? well they project him to top out at a 2C but great with face-offs and a born leader i can't complain at all.

i wonder if jost was there when the devils went would they still have traded back? or would they have taken jost? my belief is that they wouldn't have this was the guy they wanted

i'm also giving all the trust in the world to the new scouting department. conte isn't even working in the nhl anymore if i am correct. goes to say something about how bad he had become even uncle fester wouldn't bring him up to toronto.

wtf arizona has a gm that is 27 years old? when did this happen? why? i will say though damn that team is loaded with young talent. if they come all together? thats another story but damn! the nordiques will have a great team when they relocate in a few years. loved the keller pick up and i loved that they took datz contract. yeah it cost them a first rounder in order to move down but to take cahcyun who was rumored as the 1b d man of the draft? how can you complain?
