If the Broncos lose Brock Osweiler, will they trade for Colin Kaepernick?

I see Denver giving up a 3rd but if they do end up giving a 2nd since it is the last pick in the 2nd I see them getting a 5th or 6th in return as well.

Supposedly the Jets and Browns are in on Kaep as well, so he may not come that cheap.

It's been described as Elway and the 49ers GM as the 2 closest GM'S in the league so the only way I don't see Kaepernick as a Bronco is if the Broncos don't want him. Now with the Browns being the Browns they could go crazy and offer a 2nd and 3rd in which case the 49ers would be crazy not to take it but I don't see that happening.

Elway has a track record of setting his sights on something and getting it and I have no reason to believe that won't be the case here.

Well Jets officials have already said they are not actually in on Kaepernick. Supposedly it was a fake twitter account acting like one of the big wig NFL Network guys that spread that rumor. I do know the Browns are kicking the tires but I have a hard time seeing them not take Goff or Wentz with the 2nd overall pick. I mean that means you have a QB locked in for 5 years on a very team friendly contract plus buys the new coach time as he can always use the excuse of "Well we are developing our new QB and that takes time."

Strange, I would've thought the opposite (Jets/Browns). If the Jets are unwilling to pay Fitz, what is their alternative? They were a week 17 stumble from making the playoffs last year; they need a reliable QB.

Well reports are they are thinking about trading for Hoyer. Sure he's cheaper than Fitz but he no wear near in talent and that's saying a lot because Fitz is just average as a QB.

Most think it was more of a ploy to try and get Fitzgerald to lower his asking price. The players really want Fitz back in NY and it looks like the FO really wants it to happen as well so my guess is they figure something out.

As for the Browns unless they are wanting that rookie to sit for a year and Kaepernick to play that 1st year I just don't see it happening. Especially when you consider the price they would be paying. A 2nd or 3rd round pick for a starter that you are wanting to remain your starter makes sense. Trading for a 1-year stop-gap though makes 0 sense. Now maybe the Browns just don't like the QB's of this draft class and would rather take somebody like Jalen Ramsey. I just doubt that Hue wants to have that added pressure of early success when you bring in a veteran QB. At least a rookie gives him a 1 year pass as the HC.

CLE is blowing smoke, Wentz or Goff will be the QB....maybe the added pressure is in play as well, but they just lost their C and RT...granted they were planning on losing Mack but I don't think a $15m CH makes sense for the Browns....if they had Mack, Schwartz, Josh Gordon, etc....maybe then a vet QB is a good fit.

Yup this is why I think it is more the Broncos bidding against themselves for Kaepernick. Really at this point there is no hurry to get anything done. Kaepernick doesn't have any guaranteed money kick in until April so the two sides can keep working on this. Now if Fitzgerald say goes to the LA Rams then I could see the Jets get into the bidding war and things get very interesting very quickly for Kaepernick's services.

If Denver lures/signs Fitz from my Jets...I'd hope they get Kaep....

He would thrive again in a new system...with a better O-Line & coaching staff.

jus' sayin'

Wow! I didn't know the Jets were even CAPABLE of doing brain transplants. That NY technology is amazing.

 He's not even a Bronco yet, and you already sound like clueless 49er homers!

Shitty O-Line forces him out of the pocket still makes a great throw

See I can pick and choose stuff too.

The guy obviously has talent but he needs some work. Maybe getting out from that dumpster fire in SF will help him.

You'll learn soon enough what a dope this guy is.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful day Broncos. You've won the Super Bowl of my heart. :dhd:

Defending Kaep the QB is defending the indefensible at this point... It's a hail mary move to acquire him.

Kaep's biggest problem was always that he only knows one pitch, the fastball. The guy has zero touch. He can't lob a nice catchable ball to a receiver 7 or 8 yards away. He always throws the Nolan Ryan heater.

Reminds me of this....
