Aaron Hernandez is in jail. He can't be on a field. I don't know about Ray McDonald, but I do know the rushing record is a football accomplishment and all of it happens on the football field.
What I am asking you in what i thought was an incredibly clear way (but you are a Philly fan so I'll slow it down) is where is the point at which we hold players accountable for what they do off the field? Your point was the league took the season away from AP and stated it as if he had no role in that. So where is the line? At what point is it OK for the league to suspend a player or for fans to call them out for being the pieces of shit that some are?

What sealed the deal for me was when AP was coming back and he was mad at the team for how they treated him after the ordeal and was looking to renegotiate his deal. No apologies, no accountability, no slip back in under the radar after what happened, just mad at the team and league as if it were their fault. He is a piece of shit, arrogant douche...so yeah, I hope he doesn't break the record and it has NOTHING to do with the fact that a Cowboy holds it.

Todd Gurley might have a rebuttal.

Wow...a player with as many NFL seasons as major knee injuries??? It's a ballsy pick for sure...

If you want to bad mouth a career rushing leader after the fact, be my guest. If every time someone mentions the career rushing leader's name in the future, you want to point out that he beat his kid and was a dick about it, go ahead. But if you can't handle him being the rushing leader in the first place, well don't be such a little bitch. That is your personal problem and only has to do with your own personal sensibilities. You are not a significant part of the equation here, the game of football is. So get over yourself. We are talking about a football record. All of it takes place on the football field.

Little bitch? Go fuck yourself you ignorant asshole. I'm still trying to find anything in that post that makes any sense. Lets see how often you went wrong. I'll go sentence by sentence:

he's not the career rushing leader
I didn't bad mouth him after the fact, I did it as it occurred as did most normal people
So pointing out he beat his kid and was a dick about it is bad on a message board?
Again he isn't the rushing leader and I never said I couldn't handle it.
How is this my problem or due to my "personal sensibilities"?
Where did I say I was a significant part of the equation? That's dumb even for you
You say we are talking about football when YOU brought up the suspension.
It's hard to follow what you are even saying, but then again you mostly just ramble so I should expect it.

Now, Answer my question? When does it become an issue what a guy does off the field in your opinion? Obviously you are fine with bloodying up your kid because the 'league took the season away from him'. How about wife beating? Sexual assault? Murder? Where is the line numbnutz?

AP is lucky to have only missed 1 yr. Any ordinary person would be staring at a jail wall for years for child abuse.

Damn, you have issues. You're really straining trying to make this about anything, but football. He's a football player, if he's available he should play. The league took his talents away from us in the height of his prime. Why don't you watch the arena league if you don't want to see the best of the best?

sure you would....bear & lions fans remain butt hurt all things Emmitt Smith
back out the 1190 yards in Arizona and still nobody catches Smith.

No..... wrong again p-diddy.

Just cause he owns a few records does not mean he's the greatest of all time.
Every list Ive ever seen has Jim, Barry and Walter all ahead of Emmitt. So you can believe what you want.
And I also think ESPN had Sayers rated ahead of Smith also......
Emmitt played for dynasty which gave him the edge.... sorry but its true Stu.

You were proven to be the poster child of butt hurt bears fan I was posting about...and all because Emmitt has more yards.

objectivity totally escapes you!!

Again you avoid the one question I've asked you and done nothing but go off on tangents and talk about nothing I have in any way referenced or even alluded to. Where did I say I don't want to watch AP ever? I said he is a pice of a hit and brought the suspension on himself. You really don't have any brains at all, do you?

I've seen very few Cowboy fans say Emmitt was the greatest RB of all time....certainly no Jim Brown. But Emmitt was never pulled at the goal line or ran backwards on way too many plays. So Barry may be the one you get your wish on if your interested in hearing Cowboy fans take an "Emmitt is better than stance". Barry was the greatest RB I've ever seen in space (I never saw Gale Sayers) but his flaws were there too...

Well I think the runs for a loss were something overblown. Yeah Barry did that more than average and has some spectacular losses. But all time leader in carries according to the NFL for negative yards isn't Barry. It's Emmitt. Then Faulk. Then Curtis Martin. Then Barry. Then comes Dillon, Walter Payton, LT, Eddie George, Peterson, Tomlinson right on his heels.

Faulk had 200 fewer career carries but about 40 more were for a loss than Barry. Adrian Peterson gets hit for a loss more often than Barry ever did. I think the issue is, one would get caught for a loss when a guy would penetrate and bring him down behind the LOS as he churned ahead (boring play, nobody remembers it). The other would turn his back to the guy penetrating and try to find a new hole and run 20 yards sideline to sideline to lose a couple (a play that stands out). The first doesn't stick in your head, the second does.

I do agree that Barry was not a very good goal line back. Especially at the end. Of course you could say Chris Warren never replaced Marshall Faulk on 3rd and long either.

And I agree on you about Peterson. Love watching him play, but I think he's scum for how he treated his kids and then tried to defend those actions.

Never seen Brown play, but seen the others play, and I believe Emmit played on a team for the ages, where as the other 3 did not.
I just wonder what kinda stats ES and BS would of had if they played for the other guys team........I`m sure we'd be talking Barry as All-time rushing leader.js

For the record I love Barry Sanders. On the above who had more negative rushes per carry, not total? But more importantly who lost more than a couple yards more often? Emmitt got so many carries in short yardage situations and when the other team KNEW he was getting it. Those are carries when a back can lose yards and it's not his fault. Barry turned 2 yard gains into 3 yard losses like no one I've ever seen.

Cowboys were amazing but Emmitt was a huge reason. That Cowboy team wouldn't have worked nearly as well with a back that was looking for home runs all the time. It was just not how they ran their offense. Not sure about all time leader, but I do agree if the teams were switched Barry would have ended up for more years than he did. Better team, but more importantly because He would not have retired so early if He was on the Cowboys.
