Anyways, aside from that, there's the talking to God, fraudulent "miracle water", divorcing of the wife once he got famous, pronouncing divine interventions, dubious celibacy with Ciara, issues with teammates (granted, usually knucklehead teammates)...the guy ain't perfect. Feel free to make excuses for all these things. Some may be valid, but once you start compiling a list of potential douchery...your branded choir-boy image has to be examined a bit more closely.

I'm not going to bother ripping Driscoll. My point is simply that for someone that brands himself a wonderful Christian who talks to God and is a great role model....well, he picked a strange dude to share his faith with.

Wilson knows how to say the right things to the media (his dad coached him on that when he was young). But it wouldn't surprise me if it came out tomorrow that he had a weird fetish for kicking puppies. Ben Roethlisberger is a low life and as dumb as a brick. But if you judged him by his "heroics" on the field he'd be judged as a "class act" because of them. It's just a matter of what you do on the field and whether or not you get caught. There's some classy athletes (Roger Craig is the first one that pops into my head, he's one of the classiest guys I've met athlete or not) but most of them are just a bunch of spoiled, entitled jocks.
