I don't understand how that first challenge call isn't the major story. I don't know how anyone could see that and pretend that the Super Bowl isn't WWE-style rigged. The ball didn't even come close to touching the ball. If you change that call, Carolina isn't pressing on their turnovers and likely wins.

Eh...I didn't think they'd overturn it, especially after Mike Carey said they should. I honestly don't think that was the difference in the game, though...panthers just couldn't get out of their own way.

Not true. The first look at the ball touching the ground was inconclusive. that's the reason that the play was ruled 'incomplete'. the ball touched the playing field.

Without that call (which was completely, not even close, wrong) Denver never scores that first TD. We can play "what-if" all day, but Carolina moved the ball much better and that last turnover reeked of desperation. Everything suggests they would have won.

None of my teams have won a title in my lifetime. If my teams had the refs favoring them like Denver did tonight, I would be a fucking spoiled spots fan.

I fucking love the NFL and am willing to give them the doubt on live calls. But on a replay like that, you have to be in total denial to pretend that it isn't an intentional robbery. No unbiased person could possibly say that was not a catch. I was at a party which was overwhelmingly Broncos-leaning and none of them could defend that call. They were as stunned as I was.

You can't honestly believe that. It was at least the height of a tennis ball off the ground. It could have been ten times closer to the ground and you still could have seen space between it and the ground.

I compared it to the WWE, but even that is hard to believe. If a guy in the WEE threw punches that were as far away from landing as that ball was from hitting the ground, he would be fired. I could blow a .12 right now, and I assure you I could punch closer to your head without hitting you.
