Maybe tejas recruits ain't all they're cracked up to be?

Watching a lot of teams with Texas players...including my lowly Miners...it seems Texas high schools are doing a damn poor job of teaching tackling in the secondary. Either that or the receivers are WAY ahead of the DBs. Just my observation.

Oklahoma does NOT qualify to join the B10 therefore no offer would be made. Get better academics abd then this thread would be valid

Hey I'd love to have OU athletically but they don't qualify. It's really that simple. It's like a 5 star can't miss with a 1 2 GPA and shitty test scores. Sure they'd be nice to have but they can't get in

Not sure how stuff works in the B12 but the B10 isn't abandoning AAU money, prestige and tradition just to get Oklahoma in. Research money dwarfs sport money

Nebraska qualified

Stop embarrassing yourself. Check Nebraska's ranking. Check Oklahoma's ranking. Damn near even. Plus OU is ranked first among public universities in enrollment of National Merit Scholars and among the top ten in the graduation of Rhodes Scholars. We aren't Princeton but we damn sure match up evenly with Nebraska. "And they qualified."

Nebraska was AAU (a requirement) when they joined the Big 10.

The AAU changed it's rule 'after' making it mandatory that all research facilities be located on campus to qualify.

University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is located in Omaha, therefore "off campus" so Nebraska lost it's AAU status.

UNMC is a top notch medical research facility. Not sure why the University of Nebraska (Lincoln) put it in Omaha to begin with.

Nebraska qualified academically and was AAU . AAU membership can come after IF you qualify. OU does not. Besides OU already petitioned the B10 in 2010 and was denied ( along with KU, ISU, TAMU ) B10 can be super selective in who they add

Nebraska will likely never be AAU again unless they move the Med Center back on campus, or the AAU changes it's rule back.
