Not to mention he really doesn't win football games outside of his shitty division.

To be fair, Rodgers didn't have to carry a team as much early in his career as Luck has.

Has there been a better player than Luck on that team since he's been there?

Very few QBs would compare favorably to Rodgers. That is a hell of a measuring stick

I'm just responding to the hoards of people who have called him elite his whole career. If he is indeed elite I think Rodgers is an appropriate measuring stick. If Rodgers is at the top of the universe statistically then elite QBs should at least be in his stratosphere. Luck isn't even close

A Year ago, id dis-agree, as he seemed to be excelling with a brutally awful roster

But I am starting to believe many of us have labeled him "Elite" far too soon

The division he plays in is honestly the worst ive ever seen, and has to be near the worst in the history of the game

His propensity for awful mistakes has become the norm

And his punching bag ways in the biggest games vs the Pats, is worst than an early Career Peyton Manning

to tell you the truth, I am starting to get a little nauseated every time I hear the word Elite. If it means the best of the best of the best, then maybe you have Brady, Rodgers and P Manning (not based on current play) but that's it.
Andrew Luck ain't
Russel Wilson ain't
Cam Newton ain't
Andy Dalton ain't
Matt Ryan ain't
Tony Romo ain't
Ben Rothlesburger ain't
Drew Brees ain't
Joe Flacko ain't
Carson Palmer ain't
etc
etc

As of the start of last season, nobody has more turnovers than Andrew Luck...People want to use last season in his favor? Okay...One of the worst gunslingers of all time.

The truly great ones, people dont make excuses for them normally

"O-Line, Weapons, etc.....

Seems there is always an excuse of Luck, this year being the Shoulder issue

Well elite is a measuring stick of QBs. And you're being a little hard on QBs here. There is plenty of argument for Big Ben and Drew Brees as elite QBs in this league.

I respectfully disagree. They are both great QBs but I cannot put them on the same plane as Brady/Rodgers/Manning

So...Even though Big Ben and Drew Brees were the top passers just last season...They aren't elite?

That's my point. Are stats the measure? Is it leadership? Is it post season wins? Is it taking command of the field and making ordinary players look great?

I think he's above average, but he's never been elite you're right there.

Peyton's game has deteriorated since the middle of last season. He may have been elite in the past but not anymore.
