So i searched and found threads from a while ago. i know technology changes quickly so making a new thread.

THis laptop is on its last legs. I never spend much on them. I use them only to surf the web really. occasionally type some documents, do email. So i dont need something super duty, the cheap basic crap works.

So should i buy used vs new? Also where are the best deals? Groupon has something on there for like 150 right now its refurbished.......

the less the better, and like i said i dont use it for much but the wbe

(my bad ..just realize you just need something to get by with)

I bought a Lenovo Yoga for the kid that works for me. He loves it.

He likes the duality of it. But honestly I can't say I know how good it really is.
Plus at the time I forgot Lenovo was sold to a Chinese company.

Check out Margues Brownlee youtube page to see what laptops he reviewed.
I ..like some believe he is the best tech reviewer on the planet.

I suggest you go down to best buy and see how you like a tablet. If you use just for surfing a tablet beats a laptop for convenience . I own several laptops, but since I got a tablet don't use them much.

Right ..that would not make sense for your needs.

Maybe a net book can do the job you need. They are cheap as hell.

I'm with ya here. got a small tablet I use to surf (on the toilet where I spend 25% of my internet time at home). I am looking for an actual lap top in the next few months.

I like a good size tablet. Find the iPad Air just right. Own a old surface 2 , HP Stream, also a iPad mini. Next year the iPad gets larger. Still tablets have limitations.

If you want a laptop just for surfing, just keep checking around at Amazon, Walmart, eBay, best buy, someone will have a laptop for dirt cheap at some point. Just a matter of seeing it, before they have sold them.

Never owned a chromebook, but from what I've heard they should do the job. The HP stream I have is too small, so I'd pass on that.
