Richard Sherman, shamed in his superbowl loss to the mighty Patriots, is on Bradys side.

yeah, he plays only one side of the field and i think is a bit overrated.

doesnt mean i cant say the man makes a valid point off the field.

Better tell that to Rodgers and Brady, between the 2 of them in the NFC title game and Super-Bowl I think they challenged Sherman 2 or 3 times, and 1 was picked... I"ve watched Sherm live many times and he's FAR from over-rated... And he's right about owners and league passing the fines to the players...

he is only capable of playing one side of the field.

its why he does so well in that system.

until he proves otherwise, thats what it is. incapability.

So wait, you are surprised a player who has himself been under investigation and faced the potential of lost games/wages by the league is on the side of ANY other player also facing that?

Really? :L

Notice he never said Brady was innocent or should be freed. He simply brought up that the level of punishment wasn't fair compared to what owners/teams are handed down. That's entirely what I'd expect to hear from Sherman, and really any other player in the league. It's in their own best interest.

How is this a surprise to anyone?

because brady shamed him so badly in the superbowl after all the "you mad bro?" stuff...

and brady refused to shake his hand.

How are you this uneducated about a game you seem so entirely obsessed over?

Sherman has stayed on individual coverage at least twice that I'm aware of while with the Seahawks and dominated both. He blanketed Boldin in a game vs SF and held him to I think it was 7 total yards on the game.

So how is that not proving he can do it and do it well? They tried Boldin all over the field that game and Sherman had him throwing his helmet on the sideline.

The team wants their defense set the way they do it and it's hard to argue with it when they run the top defense in football for several years in a row.

wow, good for him.

elite corners cover elite receivers.

the teams best corner covers the oppositions best receiver.

he doesnt do that, he covers an area of the field.

Wow. You really are this uneducated aren't you?

Sherman's gig is all an act and everyone know it except you. He doesn't hold anything against Brady, nor should he. He will of course taunt him again the next time they play, and any time he sees him after that. That's part of his act.

Sherman speaks out against the league stuff all the time. It just doesn't get as much headlines as the rest of his act. He's very much into the NFLPA shit.

There isn't a thing he said that is even remotely surprising or unexpected if you follow football.

You said he can't until he proves he can. He's proved he can. Your attacks are rendered entirely moot.

Best defense in the league. Won't change a thing because some dipshit in NE that doesn't appear to know much outside of his own division questions a particular players ability.

That's not true, he play's both sides of the field.. I've seen it with my own eyes ... Seattle uses him that way sometimes because they can.. But he's rotated many times...

Right, this from a guy who accused me of serving fries just a few days ago. Total fail. :L

So you can dish it, but can't take the exact same in kind. Now that is something that isn't surprising.

Rock have you had no time to actually research the game with how much you have been looking into Deflategate? No Corner in the league covers the #1 WR all game long anymore. Last year is a great example is Revis spent more time on one side than he has in a long time. Yes there are games where a team will decide it is a good match up and will do it every once in a while for most of a game but for the most part teams are taking the Seahawks way of doing things and leaving their corners on one side.

I said at least twice. I'm only going off what I have seen and recall myself. It may be more than that. I don't know. What I do know is he did an outstanding job of it when asked to and it was against top NFL talent against a very strong rival in a key game. That's proof he can do it.

We also know that defense rules the NFL when reasonably healthy. They run it their way and it works. No reason to change it. They don't keep him on the right side because he can't do the rest. They do it because it further keeps every player knowing exactly what everyone else is doing and where they are. It is much tougher to have everyone on the exact same page when moving players around and it leads to holes in coverage. This works and works well.

He's not going to respond to that, or if he does it will be a flippant response at best.

Things are shifting, as they always do, when a particular system is ruling the game. Just like elements of the hurry up will likely start spreading more if the Eagles prove it is a viable NFL recipe for winning.
