i have, today, no joke...5 times.

I haven't seen it. Just quote one of the instances.

Go read the rulings on the cases that were overturned.

All of them are pretty much the same. Goodell acted appropriately in finding them guilty however he improperly punished them under a new set of rules governing domestic violence when in fact these offenses occurred before that policy was in place so the old standard of punishment should be used.

That doesn't apply to Brady's case in the least. Goodell has the authority in this case to suspend how he sees fit for this type of violation (a violation that is COMPLETELY different than a domestic assault case or a PED violation and doesn't have punishments spelled out).

So all this lawsuit is really only going to challenge is the process by which the NFL punishes (a process that both the NFL and the player's agreed was fair)....and every time the NFLPA has challenged that, they have lost because this process was agreed to in the CBA.

You should start bracing yourself Rock. Brady is going to lose this case in court unless they find one hell of a judge who is willing to tell the NFL and the NFLPA that they need to tear up the CBA and start over.

Brady could very well be innocent, but it really doesn't matter. The NFLPA agreement is the applicable document and it establishes the standard and the process.

The standard is "More Probable than Not". Which by definition has alot of leeway in it. Goodell had an independent assessment that found guilt to that standard. Is he guilty? Maybe not, but the investigator said yes, more probable than not.

What is the process? Commish makes the decision and the Commish reviews the decision. Sounds stupid if you ask me, but then I wasn't negotiating the agreement. If you don't like, take it up with your union and do a better job of writing your union contract next time.

The only leeway I could see is in terms of the penalty. Its not clear what the penalty is, but again, the agreement gives the Commish final say there.

Bottom line is Brady really has no case. The Commish followed the agreement to the letter and ruled. The only way he could win is if he proved that the Commish wasn't following the rules and had a personal agenda or something. That seems pretty far fetched. Why would the league want to mess with Tom Brady? He is excellent for the league.

Let's not act like Brady is getting the death sentence here. He is being told to take a 4 week vacation with his supermodel wife to the tropics. I think he can afford to take the time off.

What if O. J. is innocent.
OP carries some deep Brady love from his Michigan days. Probably has his room plastered with Brady UGGS posters.

address the link content.

I think he did. He's basically saying it doesn't matter if other teams were doing it. It only matters if you get caught. That may be unfair but it's the way it is in football and just in life generally. Sometimes the guy that passes you on the freeway doesn't get pulled over and you get the speeding ticket instead. At the end of the day if you don't want to get caught then just play within the rules.

thats not what semantics are.

at the root...they are both statements have the same meaning...he didn't think that he, the 4 time SB winning QB, future 1st ballot HOFer should have to admit to something that every other QB in the league does on some level.

What is that if not saying this is beneath me?

What if it turns out that the NFL (Goodell) is wrong and has acted in bad faith, and the federal court finds against it? Most of the posters on NFL message boards are so busy gleefully bashing the Patriots in general and Tom Brady in particular that they haven't considered this outcome. But, it's a real possibility.
So, let's put team loyalties aside and consider the consequences: What happens if the NFL findings and its procedures are overturned?

And what if I get gored by a unicorn?

I'm happy with Romo as our QB, but I can pretty much quarantine the OP has more Brady is innocent posts than I have any posts about Romo going back to when I first logged onto the Hoop. The OP might have more Brady love than NW and NE combined.

You've said that 4 times in a thread titled "What if Tom Brady is innocent"??? I'm sure you can understand how that might get lost in translation.
