Metro is the way to go when you're trying to get around DC. They also offer a one day pass for $9 and that allows for unlimited usage for that day (not sure if it's really worth it, but it could be easier than trying to refill your card). The monuments and museums are all within walking distance along the mall and there are a ton of good restaurants right off there as well. I believe there is a metro right near the stadium, but what's the point of going to a game and not tailgating?

As far as touristy stuff, the Spy Museum is pretty fantastic. You do have to pay to get it, but I thought it was well worth it.

Also, if you get bored on Saturday, the Terps are playing FSU. :P

Largo isn't that nice and there wont be much to do around, but if it's cheap and you dont plan on hanging around there, you can get into the city. I would recommend driving to the metro station and taking the train from there. It will probably cost you $4.50 or $5 to park at the metro stop for the day, but there is no chance I would leave my car out on the street all day. The train in to the touristy stuff should only be about 30 minutes to federal triangle or Smithsonian

Have you been to FedEx? The lower level just extends up under the club level. It is still 'lower level,' You just have a (fairly low) roof overhead. Its not a bad seat.

You wont find safe or clean near FedEx, but the Hampton Inn is close. It'll be a bitch trying to take public transit to DC. You'll have to either drive to the metro station or take the bus. Be safe and spend the extra money by driving to the metro station. It'll be about a 45 min metro ride to Federal Triangle.

The "largo town center metro station" looks to be a short walk from the hotel. I was hoping that we could hop the subway (the blue line) there and take that into the city. Bad plan?

I have but its a blur! haha in all seriousness i really didnt pay much attention and from what ive found on redskin boards the view can be kinda limited. I really dont know what to expect out of these seats to be honest.

My buddy wanted to help out with the bill by using his hampton rewards points and this is the place they recommended. As i said i really dont care about the room as long as there arent bed bugs and we dont get mugged. haha

Landover is Orange and LTC Blue but they pretty much run right together for any of the stuff you would be interested in. I would just take whichever has easier parking (or walkable) and is closer.

I dont remember if you could see the video boards or not. I sat under for the Eagles Skins MNF game the year before last and was cool with it bc it was pouring out.

Ah forgot, thought you were on the orange line. No I think that'll work just fine. Beware of hobos on the metro though. Some aren't on meds.

I use trip advisor all the time when i travel :thumb: . If this had been "my plan" i would have checked them before booking but like i said my buddy planned with the rewards people. The picture looks really nice but the reviews are 50/50 from what i remember reading, the story about a bunch of cars being broken into is actually what worries me.

FTR i wont keep anything in my car that they would want, i may actually just leave the door unlocked so they dont break the window. <--- 1/2 joking.

I also worry about getting robbed by the hotel staff (had that happen before). but i think we will elect to change our own sheets and just get towels from the front desk.

It may not turn out to be that bad im just paranoid about DC especially staying in a "less than perfect" area.
