I mean it doesn't seem to matter what play Beck calls if TA can't execute it, even the snap isn't a given and that's Garrison and Cotton not Beck. The plays called aren't complicated. We're making it way to easy for the worst defense to have a field day on us, more and more often teams don't even bother to cover our WR's wtf

9 games in now and Ive yet to see any improvement whatsoever from our QB, he may say great leader type things in practice but at some point your game day actions need to match up, like right now, but they don't

He actually has regressed.

in context, he mentioned wisconsin and iowa specifically as tough games on the road that the crowd won't be as helpful

Minnesota already knows they can beat Nebraska, so unless TA doesn't stop regressing, a loss to them is quite possible. Also, it figures that TA would overlook Minnesota. I'm sure that would be good bulletin board material for them.

You all know that I've thought Beck was a problem for the past 3 seasons.

I still think this.

The bad snaps, the penalties, turnovers, etc etc......all a result of bad preparation and piss poor play calling.

We look like Oregon on drugs.

Beck did say he overcoached again after the game.

In theory over-doing anything is a sign you're not very good at what you're doing.

Over-coaching is a distraction for "These guys ain't got a clue what I'm talking about because I'm not being clear myself".

I used to teach radar to military peeps. I could always tell when their heads were swimming and I'd gone too far giving too much superfluous information. Once you've done that, the basics (what they really need to know come test time) get lost in the middle somewhere.

There may have been one or two people to get it (they were usually the ones who wanted more in-depth info), but the rest were just a pile of mush who couldn't remember so much as the transmitter frequency.

The difference is, in my situation everybody was on their own come test time. In sports there is a group where the pieces have to be put together so they play like a team. Just a couple of guys getting it doesn't work.

My point is Beck should be making sure tommy is not putting him in these situations. Make sure he is learning from his mistakes and make sure the play calling doesn't enhance the possibilities of mistakes.

I do agree with the situational awareness, but without being too critical of TA, after we just won our 8th game this year with him, idk what else we can do when our running game isn't getting it done, at some point we have to pass. Beck isn't completely off the hook but there's more blame to hand out than just him, and do we even have a QB coach? idr if Ganz is on staff for that

:noidea:

Our last QBs biggest improvements were made in an offseason qb camp. Lets just hope Tommy's family can afford one as well.

And after that camp he was still not as good as TA is right now.

Year after the camp, he had 33 total TDs. We'd be a top 10 team if TA was doing that right now.

I was going by what I read. I never watched his video because there was no need to. TA is the reason why AA got injured, and by the ninth game, taking snaps should be almost automatic.

Exactly! Or even if he wasn't making the CONTINUAL miscues, Nebraska would not only be one of the top ten undefeated teams, maybe even top five teams, Nebraska would be storming into Madison with an enormous amount of confidence.

Go back and see what quote I responded to. Here it is...

"I'm embarrassed," Armstrong said. "The way we played, we should have lost. I feel like I failed. We got a win, but we play a team like Wisconsin or Iowa, it's not going to be pretty."

According to this quote it appears that TA was overlooking Minny. :L
