Reasons like tonight is why I will never go to a major unless it is the men's finals after the round of 16. If I paid for Ashe tickets tonight i would feel like I wasted my time and my money to see 2 awful matches.

Hope Penneta Shaka-Laks Serena into submission and subsequent retirement. Penneta should move her side to side and exploit Serena's heavy frame ( at least a good 180-190 lbs ). I don't understand why her opponents don't do drop shots and make her run and instead are lulled into playing the power game from the baseline. Slices and dropshots need to be used.

That shows how little you know about Tennis. If this were that simple, many people would have solved Serena riddle long time ago. Opponents don't do dropshots against Serena because she has the best return in the women's game which comes at you with a forehand-like return, coach Hs002.

It was just unfortunate the putrid game Sara Errani put up was just embarrassing.

I watched the entire 5th set of Simon-Cilic.

I like how this was competitive, but like the Nishikori-Raonic match, don't think the quality was great. Too many errors, and Cilic didn't serve well until the end.

* A few days ago, when asked about changing diapers, FED said that for whatever reason, he changed his girls a lot more than he does his boys.

* During a studio segment today, FED said he made significant changes to his training. He felt he was doing the same exercises too much, and wasn't progressing. So he worked with his doctor and trainer, to determine what was physically capable for him to do. He then worked to strengthen those parts of his training. He didn't give specifics, but just said he changed a lot in the way he trained.

Davis Cup teams announced



There will be some star power when the Davis Cup semifinals begin Sept. 12-14 in Paris and Switzerland, if the players announced Tuesday morning actually play.
Federer and Stan Wawrinka are scheduled to play on a hard court in Geneva against an Italian team that features Fognini. Meanwhile, on the clay at Roland Garros, the French team of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet and Monfils takes on the Czech Republic, which is led by Tomas Berdych.


Federer, Wawrinka and Monfils were still alive in the US Open at the time of the announcement.

I'm worried about Wawrinka's 1st serve %, and win % on 1st serve points. I think he's capable of having a really bad night in this area, against Nishikori.

Rooting big time for Wawrinka because I can sense that Nishikori's tank is almost empty and he will be a joke of an opponent if he advances and not Warinka to the next round. He might even run away with his tail between his legs and not play.

Why all the hate against Vika? The crowd was also having fun with it. Please let it go. Monfils did not kill himself from embarrassment and went on to shellack the "younger" version of Federer who may taste Gael's new found tennis rise. Federer supporters may rather be the ones on suicide watch as Monfils pushes Federer to the limit. Gael beat Federer in Shangai although Federer beat him in Cincinnati.

I don't hate her personally. People pay big money to see top level entertainment, not to be tortured by her screeching. They get enough of that during her matches. She is as bad as Sharapova with the screaming.
Also, Gael does not deserve to be embarrassed like that.
