I don't see any difference other than the benefits in economic and security stuff.

So I guess I prefer the Big 10.

Do you acknowledge that Nebraska actually caused almost all the insecurity when Perlman discussed leaving the Big 12 for the Big Ten with Delany?

Really, if only Colorado had left the Big 12 would if have mattered?

Hey. Look at that.

I guess chuckles is a Nebraska fan.

I enjoyed the Oklahoma-Nebraska football games almost as much as I enjoyed the Oakland-KC games in the 70's. Both were fierce rivalries. It was a shame that one tradition ended by one team running away with their tail guarded by their buttocks to another conference.
Yep, I did it again. I am a bit surprised that Brasky hasn't responded. I'll assume he's internet deprived.

Texas lost by 16.

4, 4, 3, 2, 3, 1, 7

Those FINAL score margins are often refereed to as "ass kickings" by Texas fans.

What's the difference?

The score doesn't really tell about an ass whipping though. For example, in 2010, yes Texas won by 7, but that game was a severe beatdown in Lincoln against a top 5 NU team (at the time) and an unranked, god awful Texas team. NU walked into that game averaging 45 ppg and over 470 yds of offense. NU was held to 6 pts and 200 yards on offense and scored a meaningless punt return with 2 or 3 minutes left in the game that made the score look respectable, which it wasn't. Then throw in the fact Mack made Gilbert take a knee at the goal line to run out the clock rather than scoring to rub it in, this was a complete beatdown. 2009 was an ass kicking on the defensive side for both teams, but mainly for Texas as NU was held to 100 total yards of offense and 5 first downs. Your FG kicker was the only reason that game wasn't a shutout. The other games were just good games, not total ass kickings, although 2003 was another beating, as well as 1996.....

No I do not acknowledge that. Are you drunk?

"The story floated out of Texas, about the six schools bolting for the Pac-12. Panic. Urgency. A regents meeting. Then a press conference at the NU student center.
Then the man walked through the door, offering refuge, offering a future. Stability."

Perlman talking to Delaney was a reaction to what Texas was doing. Y'all keep trying to re-write history to detract from the scumbags that you are. Texas destroyed the Big 12. They wouldn't commit to anything beyond a certain date and they had commissioner Dan Beebe in their pocket.
Nebraska wasn't gonna wait around and be left holding the Kansas St, Iowa St bag.

Nebraska is in a much better place going forward for decades.

The Nebraska/Oklahoma rivalry was already dead 12 years before Nebraska went to the Big 10. They didn't play every year in the Big 12 due to division breakdown.

Nebraska had nothing to do with that.

Keep trying to re-write history.

Actually, it wasn't dead. NU and OU were playing each other every two years and a few times in the CCG. True, it wasn't every year, but the rivalry was still going on every two years until you boys picked up your skirts and ran to another conference, so yes, NU killed the rivalry with OU in order to be a higher paid bitch.

Big 12 is still a conference, conference members are making more money than they ever have, TV deals are more lucrative than they ever have been, equal revenue sharing is now in place ever since Nebraska left (since that is what the Huskers demanded in the 1st place when the conference was formed) and conference members are now allowed to have their own networks, which 5 schools either have now, or will have in another year. Know what you're talking about before running your mouth.....

Only thing that I agree with your statement is that Nebraska going to the Big Ten means that Texas can't keep beating your school's teams in conference.

I do admit that DeLoss Dodds saying that Texas would be proactive in conference realignments was absolutely stupid, especially considering that Texas did not leave the Big 12 and a vast majority of Longhorns didn't want the Longhorns to be responsible for the ending of a conference.
Longhorns > Huskers!

I do not know of a single Big 12 school that does not have their own network deal. I just wished that the Longhorn Network was available "a la carte". I am not paying for LHN and getting other crap I won't watch.

We can go over this for another thousand posts if you like.

The fact is, given all the resources in recruiting and economics, Texas football is an abject failure in the overall picture. Easily the most under-achieving of the last 50 years of CFB. They are responsible for the most underhanded dirty shit you can imagine while tearing alliances apart. They are not trustworthy partners in any way.

Arkansas
Colorado
Nebraska
Missouri
Texas A&M

Nebraska had nothing to do with only playing Oklahoma 2 out of every 4 years. Pay attention

Nebraska did make the choice to go to the Big 10 when the Big 12 was in erratic shambles. That the Big 10 took them is all that needs to be said here. The Big 10 is a rich, stable conference, steeped in tradition.

It's a great place to be.

... and given the facts, the Big 12 remains a viable conference. Nebraska shat on tradition and their fans won't admit it that they did it for money.

Nebraska rocked the boat and blamed others when they jumped ship. Really?

I could respect the Husker fans if they admitted the truth but they can't. Texas caused everything because they beat Nebraska 9 times out of 10 and the losers ran away. (expletives deleted).
