Nothing big - just dumb ass talking stupid about the Lakers missing the playoffs as long as Kobe is still around. The retard thinks that just because he says it, that makes it correct.

If he only plays 2 more season, chances are FAR greater that he never sniffs the playoffs again then does.

They snuck in last year on the last day of the season.
Now Kobe is 2 years older and coming off major injury.
The West is loaded, and you are currently the worst team in it.

Question for you.
Which of the current top 6 teams in the West do you feel won't be playoff worthy the next 2 seasons?
Then, Dallas is in a good position to improve. Memphis is pretty solid.

Then you have some up and coming teams like New Orleans, Phoenix.

They are now, where you are hoping to be.
They have nice young players.
Are you hoping to draft someone better this year then Anthony Davis?

The climb in the West is much harder then in the East.

Because things can change drastically, almost over night, depending on what teams and players do. Example, Lebron is due to be a free agent. If he chooses to leave Miami, that drastically changes Miami's outlook for the worse and the team that he goes to for the better.

Impact players from the draft can drastically change things. Trades happen. Injuries happen. After the Thunder lost to the Heat in the finals, many figured they'd be right back in the next year, but they let Harden leave and didn't make it back to the finals.

The Lakers will have a high draft pick and enough cap space to add a couple of max FA's over the next couple of seasons (1 before Kobe's contract is up and 1 after). You and I both agree that the Lakers adding Kevin Love in 2015 and Westbrook after Kobe leaves seems very doable for the Lakers. A lineup of Love, Westbrook and a very good draft pick, plus some solid vets seems like a team that could contend.

Point is, none of us know what's going to happen. These are opinions that we all have on events that may or may not occur.

That's the way it is in the NBA. Just a few short years ago, who would have thought anyone would be talking about the Clippers as a contender? Where would the Clippers be if Stern doesn't veto the trade of CP3 to the Lakers?

We've all seen teams that seem to be headed towards being contenders end up plateauing at a certain level or falling off.

Bottom line is that those who say the Lakers will never make the playoffs again while Kobe is still playing: THEY ARE JUST RETARDED TROLLS

If he only plays 2 more season, chances are FAR greater that he MAKES the playoffs again then does.

They snuck in last year on the last day of the season in Spite of Howard not making an effort.
Now Kobe is 2 years older and coming off major injury which means absolutely nothing if he has recovered

The West is loaded, and you are currently the worst team in it Always has been - that means nothing.

Question for you

Then, Dallas is in a good position to improve. Memphis is pretty solid. Again means nothing if the Lakers pick up a few good players and avoid injuries

Then you have some up and coming teams like New Orleans, Phoenix Again means nothing if you play like you should - I've heard that one before

They are now, where you are hoping to be.
They have nice young players.
Are you hoping to draft someone better this year then Anthony Davis?

The climb in the West is much harder then in the East.

If the Lakers had not had injuries - they would have easily made the playoffs even without Kobe in the line up. The entire starting line up has missed most of the season. That's not going to happen again. It would be fun to see that happen to the Miami Heat though and sooner or later it will

Turnip is dumber than horses - This Lakers squad played good before the injuries and won games. No one could make the playoffs with a different line up every game and he knows it. Kobe doesn't have to be what he was before. He simply has to stay healthy and learn to pass the ball more. Kobe would retire before he would play at the level Shaq tried to play at in his final years. Kobe is not a freeloader like that.

If the Lakers hangs to their first round draft pick and picks up two really good playoffs - they will make a run even if the best seed they get is 5th or 6th. To say they won't ever make the playoffs again is flat out IGNORANT(and ghetto)

The only question I have is if Kobe can play without injuries again. I actually believe Kobe should have been amnestied with Kobe's blessing and he should have taken the entire season off and then resigned this summer. Then Kobe would have been recovered and could have been working on his longetivity for the future in the terms of health. Yes, every one will be on pins and needles to see if he goes down again. The Lakers do have a rebuilding process this summer, but If they keep some of the younger guys like Young, Meeks, Marshall and Johnson, then resign Farmar and Jordan Hill, then the draft pick and another player like Carmello Anthony and the Lakers will absolutely make it competitive. In the NBA the games has to be played. It's ignorant of the Heat fans to say their team will be in the finals this year when it hasn't happened, it was ignorant when they said they would win the next 7 titles(a few years ago on cbs) and it's ignorant to say any team will never make the playoffs again with certain players. Saying those things only shows that they either a" Trolls that like to stir up shit or b: They know very little if anything about basket ball. Turnup brain is talking stupid like the rest of them

Don't talk so stupid if you don't want to get knocked down a peg - it's that simple. You Miami thugs are always talking crap about the Lakers and saying the dumbest things. What else do you expect when so much stupidity comes out of your butts

Are you talking about this season?
Seriously?

To even suggest that is unimaginable to me.

And who in this thread is talking about the Miami Heat?

I wonder if you will be told to stay on topic or GTFO?

Besides that - Kobe wasn't the problem this year - he never played. It was the coaching staff that was the problem.

It is uminaginable to you because you don't know anything about basketball. The Lakers played well at the beginning of the season and they beat teams like Houston and the Clippers - and they beat the Clippers without Kobe. If you don't like what I have to say - then you leave little girl

Not one word I typed was stupid, or more to the point inaccurate.

As TF pointed out, anything can happen, but that also applies to every other team.

Since currently you are the worst team, a team that has 48m tied up in a player whose on the court value may be 20-25 % of that??, you play in a loaded conference, where is this rise from bottom to playoffs in the next 2 years?

Nobody ever said ever.

Most people just feel post Kobe is when your real upswing will begin.

Three things:

1.) It's unlikely that the Lakers would have made the playoffs this year unless Kobe, Nash and Pau were all healthy, all season and played at a high level. Yes, the Lakers were playing some decent basketball before all of the injuries, but their highwater mark was 10-9 after 19 games. Had that unit (which did not include Kobe) stayed healthy, they were looking at settling in right around a .500 record. That would not have been good enough to make the playoffs in the West.

2.) First you claimed it was injuries, then you blamed the coaching staff. Which is it? If the problem has been the injuries, you can't really blame the coaching staff. If the problem is the coaching staff, then you can't blame the injuries unless you believe that the coaching staff caused the injuries.

3.) You really need to tone it down on the insults. I have had my issues with turnup as well, but he posted some valid questions and did not insult anyone.

And Philly started the year how? It means DICK.

Why not throw some pre season wins at me as well?

I do some day aspire to be as basketball savvy as you. :laugh3::yahoo:

Perhaps tell me to do some more fact checking like you did after I made a fool of you in the Magic Johnson 'debate'.:suds:
