rockets vs lakers in LA would have been awesome. pacers vs heat or heat vs nets (preseason thinking).. would have been smart. or heat vs bulls

Is Melo going to play? I thought he turned his ankle pretty good.

OKC is going to curb stomp NYK....

Miami LAL... Wish we could have had Kobe at least.

Brooklyn:L sorry but that is just an absolute dumpster fire. The East conf injuries are just brutal. Lopez, that sucked.

For sure the 2 later games are the best on the slate. Without the injuries the early ones would have been much better..... if not just for the entertainment value.

As a native of OKC I hope the Thunder do stomp New York!

As a long-time resident of Boston I have even more reason to hope it happens.

DOWN WITH NYC!

Nobody is saying the Lakers shouldn't be playing on Christmas ( They're like the Lions/Cowboys in the NFL on Thanksgiving) but what we are saying is they should've gave the Heat a better matchup while the obvious matchup for the Lakers should have been the Clippers or Rockets

Heat fans are just scared of the Lakers!!:laugh3::laugh3:

Seriously though, when the schedules were made, the league was expecting Kobe vs. Lebron at worst. This game could get real ugly, real fast!!

Good thing Christmas Dinner will be ready right about that time and the Mrs. is sure to make me turn it off while we eat.

First of all, this is the NBA. Any team can win on any day.
Should the Heat win? Of course. However, much stranger things happen on almost a nightly basis.

How come Laker fans love nothing more but to the throw the 'bandwagon' crap around here on a daily basis towards Heat fans, when in reality you are proving yourselves to be the fair weathered fans?

You guys are already thinking you will get blow out, followed by how fast you will quit watching.
That = Bandwagon. Only supporting or investing time in a winner.
True fans can sit through winning or losing.

To be fair, his post did say during dinner.
However, read the posts on the Laker homepage game thread.
Total bandwagon.

This ranks up there with the dumbest things you've ever posted (and that's saying something). First of all, the game will be on until time for Christmas dinner and then back on as soon as dinner is finished, regardless of the score.

Second, there is nothing "bandwagon" about being realistic about your teams chances. If the Heat come out and play like they want to be there (or are pissed off about having to be there) and the Lakers play anything less than an almost perfect game, then the Lakers chances of winning are, as the late, great Chick Hearn used to say, "Somewhere between Slim and none and Slim left town". That's not bandwagon, that's reality.

Heat fans get called bandwagon because prior to 2010, they were as scarce on message boards as Clippers fans.

Any reason your ignoring the part where I said YOU were only taking a dinner break?
Remember, I'm banned from the Laker board because I called an admin a yo-yo so he :bawling: like a baby.
Read the posts there. Nobody's talking about dinner. They are anticipating their reaction in case an ass whipping is happening. We'll watch if we are winning, but not if losing. That=bandwagon.

And where did I imply that being realistic was bandwagon?
I said that only being able to watch when you are winning is bandwagon.

During a 15 win season, I nearly had as much time invested in watching, driving hours to and from the arena as I do in a championship run season. That is what fans do.

Yeah, I ignored it because you didn't say it until Flauge called you out on your post. Also, spin it however you want, but you're banned from the Lakers boards for the same reason you got sidelined for a week when you first showed up here. Being an idiot troll (I believe the exact words were "dick troll").

Also, I read the posts on the Lakers board and know exactly what was said. Lakers fans were posting about the reality of the situation that the Lakers are currently and most said they will be watching anyway.

In fact, Retroram said he's be watching on the big screen. The only one I saw talking about changing the channel was lakerboy and he was joking.

Also, you didn't imply that Lakers fans were bandwagoning, you straight up said it:

"How come Laker fans love nothing more but to the throw the 'bandwagon' crap around here on a daily basis towards Heat fans, when in reality you are proving yourselves to be the fair weathered fans?

You guys are already thinking you will get blow out, followed by how fast you will quit watching.

And any fanbase that clears out the arena at the end of a finals game because they think the game is over, like Heat fans did in game 6, instead of sticking around to applaud their team for a good season and hard fought game, deserves to be called bandwagon.

Just for the Christmas day games the NBA should have a flex schedule option similar to the NBA. Those first 2 games were atrocious

yeah, this Heat/Lakers game kinda made up for the first 2 because it was competitive, but i'm doubting a whole lot of folks expected that...

I know the Heat and I didn't expect the Heat to kill the Lakers. At most I was expecting a 11-14 point win. I never thought they would go out here and win by 30 as OKC did today at MSG

As Bill Simmons just said it is going about how I expected it to go. I knew Brooklyn/Chicago would be unwatchable, I knew that the Knicks would get killed once Melo didn't play, and I knew LA would hang around for most of the game with Miami.

You are full of crap. I posted way before you made your comment.
And as far as banned. Please take that junk somewhere else also.

Let's consider who did the banning.
Hammer has shown himself to be as big as a Heat/ Heat fan hater as the rest of you ass clowns.
I get banned for calling someone out for quoting World Hate, and then for calling that person a yo-yo:lol:
That's not trolling. That's called the truth. Problem is, you guys couldn't/can't handle the truth.

It's not like I started 20 threads in 2 hours making fun of a player who just suffered a serious, season ending injury, did I ?:noidea:

The difference between he and you, CL, and a handful of others here is that he at least had the cash, motivation, incentive, etc... to turn a sports thread site into a hopefully profitable business.
THAT gives him the right to do whatever TF he chooses to do.

The rest of you are just pretty much :bj to anything he says/ does:clap:

It was pretty much the pattern of most Heat games.
Face the opponent who is playing their Super Bowl.
Turn it into a 6 minute game.
Then grind it out and usually find a way to win.

Lakers, playing at home, hit 14 3's, and in reality coming down the stretch had no chance to win.
